Anyone confirm that sprint tv still doesn't work on R7? I would have to use a stock rom as of now which is something I'm not wanting to do. So just checking, I pay for the premium channels so it would be cool to have it back.

Thanks for any response.

**EDIT**
Ok I did a hard reset and after I installed it as the first thing after the carrier provisioning and it seems to work. I'll have to see what screwed it up prior.

**EDIT 2**
It seems to have to do with memory. When running Sense with Max Manila 2.7, I have 50%+ memory used. When I had 52% memory used, Garmin wouldn't start saying I was low on memory. I'm guessing this was why I was unable to install it earlier too.

After rebooting I initially had %50 used and was able to get Garmin to run fine. So the magic number is around 50% or so memory needed for it to work.

Tried Garmin this morning with 58% memory and its working fine on my phone.

just flashed r7. wiped device. customized device. tested device . love the new documents Tab. love the htc messaging. incoming / outgoing MMS works fine w/ tweaks to CDMA Servers. still just as fast as R6 even w/ out turning off all updates. loving the Juicy Goodness. it's like a belated christmas gift. thanks juicy!
EDIT:
as of yesterday 12/30/2009 i lost sound on my HTC YouTube App. Don't even care bc Skyfire does youTube anyways. Just thought I would add that for Juicy.

Any Ideas? I'm on USC

Try doing a soft reset, same thing happened to mine, but was fine after a reset.

Is there a new bg4all that works with r7? The one i have now screws up the home screen moving all the text up about an inch... where as on r6 it worked perfectly.

Me too...I like it and it is really zippy for everything! Even the MMS (which i barely use) with the setting posted a couple pages back works with Sprint)...Not sure the docs tab is that cool though...for word docs, it just launches pocket word...but I guess its easier than going to my docs folder:geek: and it works for most of my PP files, AND...i can always hide the tab:sign5:

Me too I couldnt find it anywhere. I've tried 2 that worked on indagroove/deck ROMs but no go.

I need help. I like when they capitalize first letter of each sentence. I've installed "classic word correction" and it did the correction and capitalization. But now this morning doesn't work... What's going on?

Any help greatly appretiated.

Any one else seem to think there is a memory leak with this ROM? I'm watching my memory get chewed up as time goes by. I reboot and I start around 50% used, after a while I look again and I'm at about 65% used, even tho I don't have anything running at all(other than sense). CleanRam isn't bringing it back either.

anybody know how to get the data arrows to turn on/off? I understand this is a 6.5 problem, but Mighty and Caulklin seem to have a working task bar, but I can't get it to work on R7 even with the addition of a custom task bar...

anybody having this problem..... when im on the htc messaging trying to send a text message i tap on the screen to compose a message then i flip my keyboard open to start writing my message then my phone freezes then about 15 seconds later the screen turns black and then only way to get it unfrozen is to soft reset it! this happens probably 1 in 3 messages i try to send!

YES! Huge annoyance for me. I believe it is caused by the HTC keyboard, as ever since I've started using Swype (the greatest thing since sliced bread btw) I have not had the issue...

I use GadgetRom's taskbar(the square one) and the data icon seems to work ok. I've attached it so you can check it.

I couldn't get Swype to work in my system with Juicy R3.

I installed it & it worked super until my next soft reset. After that, everytime I tried to pick that KB it would flash quickly & then go to the stock WM KB.

I use Touchpal 3.5 & I love it, so I probably wasn't going to switch to Swype anyway (it didn't really thrill me) so I uninstalled it at that point.

Re: [ROM] [12/27/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R7 (21887) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]

but using a program like swype and touchpal just to cover up the fact that opening up the keyboard to write a message sort of pointless? Why even have a awesome keyboard like on the tp2 when it dosnt work with the rom haha

Juicy this is a awesome rom and best yet! but you should look into a fix for this because it is super annoying having my phone freeze just about everytime i go to use my keyboard to write a text messsage

edit * I noticed the phone only freezes when you tap to compose the message THEN open up the keyboard. If you open the keyboard first then tap the screen to start typing there is no problem there and it works fine.

Open first, tap later. It's because opening the SIP and rotating at the same time causes problems.

Swype installed just fine on R7. It also sticks after a soft reset.

this Rom is good but I have issues with a few things or perhaps its just my phone, Kenitic scroll is choppy and speed is out of control, it doesnt have 1% batt drivers, Opera 9.7 on this Rom is unstable and slow at start up and when watching videos they play fine as long as you dont slide out the keyboard to tilt the screen becuase otherwise it wants to go into Landscape mode and chops the screen in half. a few patches here and there took care of most of this. looking forward to the update ...

Thanks Juicy for this new R7. I'm liking all but the YouTube app is still lacking sound. Plays but no sound. In the past if you closed the app and adjusted volume and called up YouTube the sound would work...Not now. Any answers? YouTube works out of the box with other Roms!!! Weird.

Re: [ROM] [12/27/09] Juicy Rhodium_W R7 (21887) [SENSE UI] [XDA_UC]

Here are some problems I have.

1). I don't like HTC Messaging, never have. My big issue is that when I backup messages through Microsoft MyPhone, it ends up backing up any HTC Message-sent msgs with 1st name, last name instead of last name, first name(which WM's native messaging client does do). Anyway, I install the CAB to disable HTC Messaging and now whenever I try to send a text message, it takes like 15-20 secs of frozen screen before that corrects itself. Annoying.

2). I get no sound on any ringtones, alerts, or the like. When I go into sounds to adjust those settings, it gives me the msg that it's unable to change the sound because the file may be corrupt.

3). I can't send MMS msgs even though I installed the Sprint Arcsoft MMS CAB fix.

Disclaimer: I did hard reset the phone right after initially flashing from R6 to R7.

Juicy,

whats the deal with the youtube sound problem - its broken in R7? It seems every other release it breaks -- in R6 it was working just fine. Is there something I might be doing that would cause there to be no sound?

Thanks!

A new problem that I have just received is after a soft (or hard) reset, I get an error message that says "Open of EnglishUS failed"...I have been having a few random lock ups, so I did a soft reset, this came up, so I hard reset and applied my Sprite Bkup...and this same errror message appeared. It stops the reboot process until I select ok.

It seems to run ok after it continues, but I am now having ramdom lockups again...anyone else?

relax guys, R7 had many changes... its a balancing act of trying to get you all the newest stuff including/excluding certain features and actually having enough people to test it and find all the bugs... its not like there won't be an R8.

hold tight, you can still use R6 if R7 is really THAT bad

Yes Juicy, great work as always, but widespread problems with sound, oddly not midi ringers, but .mp3 and .wma ringers.

I have soft/hard reset, and there is just no consistency to the refusal to play ringers.

So many things right with the rom though! Speedy!

Edit: Oddly, even with this ROM provisioned properly for Sprint, the ##DEBUG code/EPST requires a password, which I know is 183729, but I have found with other Mr. X/JMZ style provisioning, this works perfectly...strange.
