Ha. Sounds like a lot of work but I definitely support the naming convention.
f.y.i. I would love to go back to 6.5 too but I just love the speed of the 6.1. Until someone can make a 6.5 ROM as snappy, I have to stay at 6.1.

I heard that. I tried messing around in 6.5 earlier this week and was pretty turned off by its performance. I'm not sure if it just needs tweaking or what but man it wasn't that great to use, and the RAM usage was high. around 70 MB with nothing loaded even titanium, compared to 40 with WM 6.1

I tried 2 flashes and 2 different downloads of the quickGPS cab, but after install the program failed to launch. I had nothing else installed. Flashed, clear storage, and installed quickGPS cab and the other GPS cab posted by freeza on the first page. Anyone have any thoughts?

Freeza, love this ROM! Running it with Mobile Shell and it is by far the fastest custom ROM I've used to date. It's almost like cooking my own ROM, except I don't have to know anything other than how to install a cab. The level of support you have offered with this is just fantastic. From the supplied cabs to answering questions you have given it your all. I commend and thank you.

Anyone know how to change the ringtone on Beta 4C? I go into sounds and notifications and every time i press ok it just resets the settings back to Ring and the standard ringtone and I cant even get out of the sounds and notifications settings page.
Also what exactly does the HTC Framework.cab do??

so i install opera 10 beta 2, each time when i open it on the manila tab it keep showing me error could not open file. you tried to access the address file://localhost/home. How do i change this please help?

Another thing i found is I cant run QuickGPS, i installed the cab and it says "The file 'QuickGPS' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists try reinstalling or restoring this file." Any ideas on how to fix it? Im not sure if its related, but I also cant seem to get a GPS Signal in any program on this ROM, other ROM's ive treid get about 7-10 satellites in a few seconds, this isnt getting any. Could be because I cant get quickGPS to run but GPS is a necessary feature for me, so any help would be appreciated.

go back a few pages. I just posted about this and Freeza answered. You need to also install the HTC Framework cab and HTC Streaming Media cab (I think)..Anyway, find the post..I did what Freeza said and all works fine now.

Have you tried opening Opera from the programs menu first, then setting it as default when prompted? I think once it's set as default, it should work from Touch Flo..I could be wrong. If I am I'm sure Freeza will have the answer.

Installed Framework and Streaming MEdia, now Volume works just fine, thanks! I've been having that same issue with Opera as well, I have a feeling it's because Manila is programmed to look for a local address that, in IE, translates to whatever your homepage is set as. Could be a simple registry edit, but I haven't found anything yet. Also, when I call someone and use the keypad, then place the phone back up to my ear, then need to go back to the keypad (think IVR), the keypad disappears. I try rotating back and forth, bringing up the menu, nothing brings it back. I end up having to go to the Start Menu during a call, then back to the dialer, to refresh the keypad.

Alright got everything running with Mobile Shell on top of it! Wow is this ROM fast! it makes me love my phone again! now just get this running with 6.5 this fast and I might just find a permanent ROM to stay on.

Fantastic speed using mobile shell don't even slow it down. Problem I'm having is getting active sync to work with my exchange. Did I miss some cab install or something? I'm on verizon and used the carrier specific cab. My wireless sync has always been a breeze to set up with other roms and no issues. If I can't figure it out I'll have to try a diff rom. Don't want to do that especially. Diggin the speed of this.

What is the problem specifically?

I set up a google sync (exchange) and it worked, but i'm assuming yours is different. Please share.

In other news:
Working on a newer version with removes and CABs dshow, and mHub VO so that when newer leaked versions come out, you can try them for possible improvements. :-P

Freeza,
Specificaly my tp2 won't sync wirelessly to my outlook exchange server(cortado). I had this problem on one other bare 6.1 rom and now again with yours.
I'm inputing my info same as always and it usually takes under a minute to have it syncing to my phone. Contacts,calendar,tasks and email. I've tried it with and without the usb to pc box checked for the speed increase. I'm thinking it's somehow related to the two roms as it has never happened on any other and several devices as I've used this hosted exchange for years.
No matter what, I do it gives me a wrong info input error. Which is just a generic error to indicate some issue. My data is working fine and I can tether,and browse fine. Just no wireless sync. I've downloaded and installed the verizon configure settings cab and btw I could not call *228 and program my phone without that cab installed. I dunno and I seem to be the only one as I've heard nothing on the thread or in my search complaining about wireless sync. Your rom is smokin' fast even with m shell installed. I'd like to keep it, but....gotta have syncing.

I think I may know what's wrong.. I have a lot of services removed in order to achieve a fast ROM. Are you familiar with importing registry entries? if not I can CAB them up.

Installed, soft reset and still no workie. Says, " sync cannot be completed, please check settings" Then try again. Same as before. I've checked them 100 times. Calkculin's rom did the same thing when I tried to sync wirelessly. These are the only two roms that have ever been an issue regarding this.
I appreciate your efforts tho, and thanks. I cannot believe how fast this rom boots, and runs. It's frickin amazing and a testament to just how much slow down is caused by installs. It even connects faster to my tethered laptop. If you want me to try anything else I will, but for now I think I'll check out the imagio's new rom upgrade. Thanks again,

I will build another ROM for you to test out later on today that doesn't include any special tweaks, if you would like to try that one, we can narrow this down.
