SOLVED. Delete the registry value for GifSpeed, and create a new one called GifPlayTime. It appears to have an offset, a value of 2000 played abotu 1/10 of a second of both GIF and WAV in sync, a value of 5000 played about 1.5 seconds of each. This is definitely the mechanism, although I don't quite understand the algorithm behind it, but now it's just a matter of me figuring out the exact value I want for my animation, and anyone else can adjust to taste for their own startups. [EDIT] Maybe not so much...I've tried values up to 200k, and it STILL cuts off after about 4 seconds. So, this may be the key controlling the sync between the two (GIF and WAV), but something else is controlling overall length. The DLL has references to GifPlayTime, StartGifDelay, StopGifDelay, GifInterval, and GifSpeed, so I'll keep fiddling...

So, yeah...I wasn't able to get it working at all. I'm stuck with either 4 seconds of synced animation + audio, or full audio track and only the first frame of animation. If you could .CAB together the stock Sprint one and/or old version from the TP1 I'd appreciate it, but if not it's cool. This was fun, but I'm getting tired and working on it more is just making me want to kill something cute and fluffy. :P Thanks again for all the help thus far, and I'm really looking forward to seeing future updates, especially with more blue graphics!

Yeah, I have the same issue. I noticed it in all Opera 9.5 & 9.7 Builds. Opera 10 BETA is fine.

There are a few other apps but I have workarounds or alternatives for most of them so it's not a show stopper for me.

[EDIT] Just noticed freeza's earlier post about a fixed TouchFlo CAB to solve this one. :D Let us know when the CAB is up, I'd like to go back to Opera 9.5 as I much prefer it. Cheers ... [/EDIT]

After a few days of running this ROM I've noticed that my battery runs down quicker than my Stock TP2 (UK GSM Version).

I was thinking it might be the Radio version. Have any of you guys updated the Radio and seen better/worse battery life? If better which Radio version are you running?

I'm running 2.23.00WU with idle drain at around 11ma with nothing running (measuring with battery monitor running on storage card)

(YouTube) Yes, really. Here's what I did: Hard reset on phone with beta2 ROM. Installed your BareNakedROMbeta4c. Sashimi ran with about 20 apps to install. Soft reset. Manually installed YouTube found in your folder of cabs. When it didn't work even with soft resets I did another hard reset without Sashimi and installed and tried YouTube. Didn't work. Is nobody else having this problem? The first time it MAY work but after that it won't. (At least for me.) Thanks if you can help but don't worry if you can't.

I restored a backup and youtube doesn't work, but on a fresh install it works fine (for me anyway, even after numerous soft resets).. I'm going either try to narrow down what makes it work and what doesn't, or just start off fresh :(

Narrowing it down. (after a hard-reset and an install of a few OEMCABs. I noticed that YouTube stopped working) I WILL GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS!

BTW I am still running the old radio as it looks like you have to Unlock your device before you can flash a new Radio? Not sure about this my device (Sprint TP2) didn't seem to be SIM locked. I was able to just put in a Vodafone SIM with no troubles.

quick question. If I want to get finger scrolling in programs like RSS feed and in my emails (not in the list of emails but the email text specifically), where I can scroll up and down (as opposed to 'text selection' mode), is that available via the touchflo cab?

Yep, that is exactly what the TouchFlo CAB enables.

You will however find that after installing if you do want to select text in the email you'll need to use the 'select text' option on the menu. No biggie, finger scrolling in emails is way more important for me that selecting text. One I do all the time, the other I do rarely so having to make a menu choice first isn't a problem.

Im jus waitin for the super barebones 6.5 or 6.5.x ROM. A super fast ROM with Mobile Shell and the HTC Espresso Theme installed on top of that would be a dream come true.

You also need "touchselection.dll" which is not included in the touchflo cab because of permissions issues (it wouldn't install).

I'm definitely about to get into 6.5. 6.1 is becoming a pain trying to get all the new software to work correctly with the old os!

I'm unable to run QuickGPS. Anyone else getting the following error? "The file 'QuickGPS' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."

Maybe I screwed it up, but HTC Volume Control doesn't do anything on mine. ISn't it suppposed to bring back the cool little screen with the volume and piano tones?

I am installing your rom now i really like the idea. I would like to see what the latest 6.5 rom looks like bare or if you could get the threaded outlook in your current bare rom that would be cool to. But i really like installing what i want and not having it in there
