I am having a weird issue with this ROM. After loading up SPB Mobile Shell, everything works peachy. Then, I try to customize my icons on Mobile Shell. After resetting, Resco Explorer stops working! It briefly flashes and then seems to just shut itself down again. The steps I took to address this are:
1. Used either JWMD Icon Changer or SK Shortcuts Manager to change icons (using PNG and ICO files respectively) - same result with both.
2. Used either the older v7 or the newest v8 - same result with both.
3. Uninstalling and reinstalling Explorer does not solve the issue (i.e., Resco still does not work).
4. Changing the icon back to the original one also does not solve the problem.
5. Flashing to a 6.5.x ROM built from Calkulin's kitchen also shows the same issue.

Any suggestions?

That is interesting... Maybe it's an issue with pagepool settings? I also had this issue with SPB Mobile Shell and S2P.... i'll do more tests and get back to you.

Can't believe how much more responsive 6.1 is compared to 6.5. Text messaging is snappier, programs open faster, the RAM management seems more efficient. Then again, it may simply be due to the lack of all the HTC junk.

I have most of the HTC stuff installed back in (removable at will!) and it still is very snappy and i use between 40% and 52% RAM.

Okay, think I figured it out. I installed all my programs except MobileShell, set up all the icon changes I wanted and then installed MobileShell. Now, everything works fine!

it installs and everything is good to go with it. the same as how it was on my mogul and touch pro.

but when i hit connect on my pc it halts at verifying username and password for abt 30 seconds...then comes back with error 721.

This program is rarely used so with that being the case, although it's in your oemcabs folder, not too certain that u've tried it. is it working on your device?

I have it installed but haven't tried it. Honestly, I either use the internet sharing app, or wifi router.

up in the air. i've switched to coreplayer for my youtube needs.

I tried re flashing 2 times still no help

I keep getting The File " Camera and Camcorder' cannot be opened. either it is not signed with a trusted certificate. ect.

Anyone else having this issue?

Loving the 6.1 ROM everything's working great for me now. But im dying for a 6.5 ROM!! and id go absolutely crazy over a 6.5.x ROM like this!! id be in heaven right now, the phone runs soo crazy fast right now, and I have SPB mobile shell installed. I cant imagine how fast a 6.5.x ROM would be without any interface besides titanium installed. The reason i like 6.5.x is that i feel that 6.5 is still not finger friendly enough to be used without installing a coverup interface, but 6.5.x everything is easily usable by finger so you can have absolute minimal added software installation and it could possibly be the fastest of them all. Just my two cents. I really appreciate all the hardwork you put into making these ROMS, just thought i'd try putting a request in. Never seen a ROM work as fast as yours does! Only issue I've noticed, is that if I keep the phone running for a long time without soft reset, when i use the keyboard the letters begin to double up sometimes and a key will type two letters to one press which results in lots of periods due to the double space press. But after a soft reset it returns to completely normal so im not sure exactly what happens. Other than that keep up the good work! thanks a whole lot! :)

I have threaded sms on my phone and I notice everytime i have multiple text messages from the same contact, it will show like 4 text messages once i check the text message and go back it will say 3, i have to go back into my text message and click on the text message they sent me so it can get highlighted and then it will get rid of the 3 text messages. Sort of like its not updating when i check the text message. Anyway of fixing this? or is there something out there for this.

^ Yes, install the "Unread SMS Fix", in the OEMCAB folder on his FTP (linked in the OP). Hey Freeza, I'd also really appreciate a CAB of the other Manila/Sense interfaces, so I could play around with them and find which one was fastest vs. the degree of "shininess" I'm trying to achieve. I'd go with the basic WM6.1, but I just love having that slider at the bottom to go to my messages and such. And backgrounds that aren't faded. And the clock...But I hate that weather thing! LOL.

Just wanted to say thanks. I was looking for a bare bones ROM for a while. I'm looking forward to your take on a 6.5 ROM as I don't use Sense or Titanium or 90% of the other programs other ROMs get packaged with.

Have you stripped out the HTC enhanced menus? Seems like an odd thing to stick in there.

6.5! 6.5! please make a 6.5! lol. Im really looking forward to it as well. A 6.5.x would be a dream come true tho. As even with 6.5 i'd have to install a couple things such as the notification enhancement and the menus are not as finger friendly. but with a 6.5.x there would be no need to install almost any of those enhancements and I really feel it would be able to maximize the speed of the device. Its pretty stable for daily use now and it has become official for microsoft as theyve released an SDK. Just thought Id try putting my vote in for both. Variety is the spice of life so itd be nice to just be able to please everyones needs.

Wow.. this is exactly what i was looking for.

I had one issue....
internet sharing would not load up all the way. It started loading with the load icon and then the load icon stopped animating.. then i noticed that the touch screen was frozen... well... so i held down the power button and a new screen popped up.. but i couldnt use the touch screen.

I know you said "before you say this doenst work" and had a list of cabs to install... like HTC Framework.. i am afraid this stuff will slow down your rom /: will it?


Edit: I tried reinstalling agian.. ya the internet sharing doesn't work. Is this normal? I did however re flash with mighty rom and this is how i am on the net writing this :)

I have a quick question I am hoping someone else using this ROM might know the answer to. Once yesterday and then just now I have had my screen come on after pressing the power key only to show me a screen saying "Enter your password and press Unlock".
I don't have a password and the only way I can seem to get out of it is by resetting the Pro2. I am using autolock to automatically set the default 6.1 screen lock and it works fine until this happened. I didn't have this happen in the Stock Sprint ROM so wondering if it is something I need to install from OEMCAB and I missed it.

Odd...totally haven't run into that myself. Those symptoms sound like the WM lock feature got turned on from "all setting", check that out.

Any 6.5 or 6.5.x updates soon? Im really stuck on your ROM right now as I want all the nice features of 6.5 and 6.5.x but I just cant give up the speed that I get with this ROM by switching to some of the newer ones with all the latest updates.

Does anyone know how to disable the led light.. I hate it .. i cant turn that thing off no matter what I do , I go under notifications and its off.. I have all notifications off and it still blinks, any one know of a registry edit or some sort of program that will disable it.

hey guys, Sorry I have been MIA. I've been helping my friend move for like two weeks and have had little time to do much of anything.

I'm almost positive that there's pretty much nothing left to do in the 6.1 series and most, if not all the major kinks are worked out. I've been running 4D on my phone for weeks and haven't noticed any problems (with the right CABs installed).

With that said, i'm about to put the finishing touches on 4D and label it as a final.. just have to finish the start splash, and redo the TSKs with a background.

Then Bare Naked 6.5 production as well as Partially Naked 6.1 will start :)

^ You still have to install ArcSoft, but yeah, I believe it should.

And here's a weird issue I've been running into the past few days...My hardware buttones stop working intermittently. They'll work, then I'll go to hang up a call, and the END key does nothing. Weirdest part? Holding down the TALK button still pulls up my SIM Manager (which is what I set it to do), but pressing any of them does nothing. Soft resetting fixes it. Any ideas, anybody?
