I need to be able to sync remotely while on the go. But thanks for the comments. There's got to be something that got left out of this rom causing this issue. Anyway I'm back on my imagio after jacking up my tp2 with a different rom. I'll clean that mess up another day. I'm glad I have back up for days like this. LOL. :)

what cabs do I need in order to play youtube videos, i was able to install the program but everytime i click on a video, i get error "this video cannot be played"

So freeza after reading your update about switching to the EVO 4G, does that mean you arent going to be making a 6.5 version? or 6.5.x? Ahh im really gonna miss you here, you had just about the cleanest most customizable ROM available. The fastest too.

So I finally got weather working. Turns out I needed to delete the old weather database. /applications data/htc/databases/ delete forecast_cache.db

Now what do I need to do to get my location working? This would complete the cake and make this great. Suggestions????

Actually, now that he's mentioned it, I have had an issue with the aGPS - if I switch it on, it will still show "off" next time I check the settings. However, QuickGPS grabs satellites, and Google Maps gets my location within 10-30 meters. So, it seems to be on, but it doesn't THINK it's on?

What do you mean by turn agps on? Are you talking about changing the enable registry key to 1 from 0?

So it appears that HTCGeoSrvc and AGPS notification service don't auto start on a restart. I started them manually with .dotfreds taskmanager and my location works. So why wouldn't they start?

So I tried the attached cab to auto start the services. But it still doesn't work. I still have to manually start them in dotfred for my location to work.

One tiny issue.

I can record a video with my phone, but I cannot watch it. I only get audio.

I have installed the following to try and help:
DShow
Full Screen Player
HTC Framework
HTC Streaming Media
mHub VO

Is there a possible fix for this?

Haven't a clue, I'm afraid. I'm reflashing to the 4D Rogue version tonight to start a fresh install, alongside Android and Rhobuntu. Haven't been doing much configuring with Windows lately.

Still, I'd love to know as soon as the next build of this awesomeness is out, be it a 4E/5A, or WinMo6.5 - Freeza's work is really top-notch.

So honestly, how good is this Rom, I am currently running Silence 12 Rom and loving it a lot!!! I like it because of how fast it is. Is this Rom better in terms of speed?? I have to admit I'm really tempted to flash this......

Juicy is a one of the best chef. Silence is a sense 2.1 and Juicy makes sense 2.5 ROMs.

I think this is probably one of the fastest you'll find, just because anything else is goign to have more stuff included. This is stripped bare to just the basic WM6.1, and everything is an installer if you want to add certain "extras", like MMS or GPS.

Couldn't hurt to try it anyway since it takes, what, 5 minutes to reflash? Set aside some time and just try out a bunch of different ROMs before you settle on a favorite.

In my experience, this is my favorite ROM. I have tried them all. For me it is about speed and relaibility. I am not runing Manila which I think causes more trouble than it is worth.

I have put SPB shell 3.5 on this ROM and find it to be great. I do not get the same eye candy as Mania, but I have not had the phone lock-up on me at all. No mid-day reboots either. I eliminated all of the rotation features as well.

After a boot, I have about 109MB of memory available. My only remaining issue is that the camcorder video will not play. Not that big of a dela for me, but may be a problem for others.

I highly recommend this ROM.

i know it's a basic rom, but ther'es so much thing that are necessary to even get it working correctly. i finally got my gps working. can't get youtube working even with the install cabs suggested. Seems alot of little cabs needed to to have basic stuff working correctly. also my caller id won't pop up correctly when someone calls in. it's the fastest rom i tried, but lots of little bugs

They're not bugs, Freeza does good work. This is a Windows Mobile ROM, and as such is designed to give a straight Windows Mobile install. Things like MMS and aGPS are NOT part of Windows Mobile, and are extras for smartphones - dedicated PDAs like iPaqs don't (or at least, didn't) come with these things, either. Think of it like Microsoft Office - a lot of people don't WANT it coming preinstalled on their PC, because they want OpenOffice or StarOffice, or don't need the apps at all.

If you want these functions to be treated as basic needs, perhaps you should consider a less stripped-down ROM, that comes with carrier apps and mobile stuff.

Also, have you tried just browsing to the YouTube website and seeing if that works? Try IE Mobile, Opera Mini, and SkyFire. I know at least one of them will work.

Hey, Freeza - why don't you put the previous releases up on your server, so folks can try various iterations to see how stripped they like it?

I guess I have not seen any of the bugs. There was a good bit of fiddling to get it working the way I wanted with a number of CABs recommended by the chef. Well worth the effort however.

For my use, I have decided to convert my phone from toy to tool. So I do not have any fluff on the device. No YouTube, no real need for MMS, no games other than solitaire. Still runs great for me. No issues with caller ID either. Also works great with S2U2 which was not the case on any of the 6.5 ROMS I tried. I also use the Inesoft Phone 5 Dialer with great success.

So the Apps I use daily are: CoPilot, email, Pocket Informant, OneNote, SBP Wallet, SPB Time, Elecont Weather, Opera 9.7, Internet sharing, SPB Shell 3.5, QuickGPS, Inesoft Phone, Voice Recorder, Panoramic Calc Pro, S2U2

So even with all of these apps installed, I have about 113 MB of memory available after a reboot. All of these apps have worked for me without fail. All launch quickly and I can scroll with finger gestures just like 6.5. The only thing I do not have is Manila, which I do not really miss.

It may not be right for you depending on your needs however.

This rom is HELLA FAST! but it has BUGS. Can't used Youtube and Plays video with no picture just sound. If you don't use your device for these two things, then I recommended this Rom 100%, but I do so I'm moving on.....

I'm having issues where some of the third party apps like midomi and grooveshark can't connect to the internet. any have these issues? I didn't install most of the oem cabs is there anything in there that might fix my problem? P.S apps like opera mini and such can connect to the internet fine.

Unfortunately, I think WinMo 6.1 is going the way of the Dodo. I might've taken up cooking in my spare time, but I'm planning to grab an HTC EVO for my birthday in June.

It's just amazing how much faster his ROM is. I can't use 6.5 for more than a day before I always revert to the 6.1 blackout rom. With sense on it you can't even tell all that much.

Does anyone know how to remove the 1% battery driver from this ROM I feel that it is unnecessary and drains the battery more?
