That just doesn't make sense. If you can't get the phone in bootloader mode, then the device is clearly defective, however I hardly doubt that is the case.

You are holding down the lower volume key, then simply tap the power button on top to turn the power on. It should boot right up to the bootloader screen (red, green blue)

U dont need to have the phone in bootloader mode to hard reset. Just take battery out, put it back in, press and hold your (open call, end call, power) buttons all at the same time. Then you will see the instructions to wipe the device.

I know...but it's not doing anything. I plugged it back up and it went right back to soft reseting itself over and over. I'm just hoping it boots up and then I'll clear storage...

EDIT: It's back up... I'm about to clear storage like 3 times.... LOL

Okay, now when it comes to local settings/my location. Should I set my home via the clocks/alarms, before even messing with the world clock?

EDIT: Whew! I thought I had bricked my phone for a moment...

After flashing SSS, the fastest, easiest way for me to set my location (time and weather) is just go to the weather tab and hit update now. It has worked every single time I've flashed.

Okay, I'm gonna try that as soon as it reboots... I gotta make sure I pay attention this time as I load programs, because something that I installed does not agree with this ROM...

It was on the charger and kept reseting itself. I think it didn't have enough juice to reboot fully, so it just kept soft reseting itself... very strange.

I just waited til it came up and when it did, I hard reset over and over again. Now, it's running GREAT! And the "my location" and all weather is working.
