Quick question for anyone: Does anyone know which .wav file is used for the startup sound? I use SPB backup and it makes a backup at night, and restarts, and I'm tired of hearing the sound come on. I tried using Advanced Config to disable the start up sound but it still plays.

I searched through the registry for PhoneOn.wav and the only item was for Flightmode. I deleted it, but the sound still plays when my phone restarts.

your going to have to use a program like total commander to actually go in and delete the phoneon.wav, i personally would try to rename the phoneon.wav file to something like phoneon.wav.old and that way the there wouldnt actually be a startup wave file to make a sound, hope that makes sense.

I think you might also want to look for HTC-QuietlyBrilliantBoot.wav.

just a heads up, I'm not sure if you guys will need to do it, but when I installed r11 b1, I needed to manually update quick gps (which is now under start - tools as well as other goodies that I installed without realizing it was all already there) in order to get the gps working in google maps and sprint nav..

after doing the update profile and prl - gps lock in under 2 secs!

This rom is ridic! MMS send/receive working and fast! only thing i really needed to add was the task manager

how do I do this exactly? When I go in with total commander and rename it, the new name doesn't stick. I go into the properties and uncheck read-only, and it still doesn't allow me.

** Nevermind. I searched the registry and deleted the key with HTC-Quiet... That was the one popping up. Wish I knew what to put there to stop the animation/sound from starting up all together, but oh well.

Anyone heard from deck or tek on how the next release is coming? haven't heard or seen any posts from either in a while and don't believe deck has posted on twitter for about a week.

sorry everybody, but i have been dealing with some 'life' issues for the past week. havent had time for really anything to be honest. I was able to get updated to 21897 tonight, and working on a few more things before i release r11. Everything is looking good so far...

good to hear things are ok now, hope it wasn't anything to serious wrong at home/personal life, glad to have ya back! can't wait to see the new updates even though r11 b1 has been running good for me, anyways welcome back and will look for updates from you.
