Re: <> 01-09-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's <> Sense 2.5 & Titanium <> SYS 21887 & 23518

So how are the uploads progressing?

Can't wait to get some 23518 goodness.

Question, is there a background for all tabs that works with your rom? I love the pic that you use for the backgrounds of 6.5 and would love to use that in sense 2.5 (like your past roms).

Thanks

question: Do I need to run carrier provisioning after installing the rom, or is it already configured and good to go for sprint? thanks

To incorporate MMS into Htc Messaging at this point is all in the files in the packages, or so it would seem. Once things settle down after I get everything done this weekend. Then I can start looking into and fixing the couple of small annoyances such as this.

Uploads are almost done, it sucks, everytime i do uploads at my GF's house it's slowwwwwww, as she doesn't care about upload speeds or download speeds so.... unfortunately I don't have the blazingly fast uploads like I do at home, lol. BG4All Tabs screws with the Landscape images for 2.5. Not sure if you know how the images work for manila or not, but it's 2 images 2gether for portrait and the same for landscape. BG4All for some reason places the bottom of portrait on the bottom right of landscape, not sure why. So what i'm doing, is i'm just gonna edit the manila backgrounds with my images and themes, and then you just install the cabs. Should work fine. And don't worry, just because I took down post 2 and 3, believe me all the themed ROMs will be back, they will just be back as themes that you can download from here or download from the updater. For the regular NON Manila ROMs, I will have standard TSK's for those. I will have a tutorial about all of this in post 2 very soon.

EDIT: @ Yardi - You never need provisioning with my ROMs for Sprint, Verizon, and USCC. It's already cooked in :) and not from the cabs you find on here.

Ok, SYS 23518 Sense 2.5 1922 for Sprint and Verizon are Ready for Download!!! USCC Still has about 20 minutes left on the Upload as that one was started last. Once USCC finishes uploading then I will finish out post 2 and 3.

Which cab are you refering to?

There was a link to a SprintTV cab in my previous post. I've used it with Mighty, Juicy and NRGs successfully.

The 23518 2.5 sprint rom seems to be missing the usb to pc setting in connections. Is there a cab to replace it or another way to access it? I am unable to sync without disabling advanced transfer setting in there.

Unfortunately, me leaving out the USB to PC package doesn't have anything to do with active syc. That is for the tethering internet. I am using the exact same ROM version as you and everytime i connect my phone active sync pops up and connects. Active Sync is part of the SYS Common and the icon/app link is in the Utilities Folder, not a package per say like USB to PC. I have had what you are experiencing happen before. Usually a reboot of the computer and phone are all it takes to solve it. Sometimes Active Sync seems to just stop working sometimes. Hope that helps.

Its not the popup part that I need but the selection to disable asvanced networking for faster transfer within the usb to pc connections. For some reason my phone will not sync to any computer with advanced networking enabled. I'm sure there is a way to disable it in the registry, but I have been searching for over an hour now and unable to find it :( Thats always the first setting I have to change after flashing or I will not be able to sync. I've tried rebooting everything, different usb ports and even 2 other computers. Its a no go for me without changing that setting.

From lots of googling it seems to be a much larger problem with many differnt winmo phones and ESP win7. I am not finding any fixed or setting changed other than disabling the advanced networking tab in usb to pc settings.

Ok, because i'm such a nice guy, i custom made you an HTC USB to PC Cab. It does not have the internet sharing option with it, but works perfectly. I already uploaded it to the FTP, so download it from HERE or the updater in the ROM under Cabs. Enjoy, I tested it on my phone and works fine. I looked as you did for a cab to direct you to, but i could not find one. Only one for the Diamond, it worked but the image was 480x640 so the picture looked all weird. So I made one from scratch with the latest USBtoPC files. Hope that works for ya.

UPDATE: Also just got the new SYS 21888 files!! Look for new Com 2 6.5 sweetness soon.

Question: is the latest 6.5.x rom with sense 2.5 have any problem with no ringing sound when an incoming call happens?

Did some more work to post 2 and 3. Almost done, I have a few more images to make, but i should be able to get the thread done today. If I can get it done today, then I plan on making the appropriate updates to the Updater App. Also, I have looked at the Sprint TV issue, haven't really made significant progress. Some people say it's the app isn't made for the TP2, which there could be a conflict of software and hardware (it's possible), but i'm gonna look at the files a little more later though. Anyways, hope everyone is enjoying the new Base ROM's. I hope so, as no posts have been made about issues, so I hope thats a good sign :)

dibbs great job on the uscc rom, loving it. i only have one problem, but this is not confined to your rom. seems that sometimes I have no audio when making or receiving a phone call. the call connects as it should but the caller cant hear me nor can i hear them. it seems to occur after i make a volume change either with the volume buttons or with my bluetooth buttons. other than that im good. also the new max manila 2.8 works great on your rom. thanks for all your hard work

I'm sorry your having some issues with the USCC. I have not experienced that issue with the Sprint version of the 2.5 ROMs. Unfortunately, it's hard for me to fix certain issues that arise with a carrier i don't have service with. I will however, try to replicate the problem to see if i can fix it, although i've used the phone quite a bit so far and haven't had that happen. When my GF gets back i'll just use her Hero as a dummy call phone and try it some more. But if you can find a fix, or if I can find one, i will definitely include it in the USCC ROMs. Also, it could be something in the provisioning, out of curiosity, do you have a USCC provisioning cab? If so, I could could you a blank ROM, and see if that helps. One other thing, could be the Volume control package could be messing with something for some reason on the USCC ROMs. I do have other packages, so when she gets back in an hour or so, i'll start seeing what i can find out. Thanks for letting me know about the Max Manila 2.8 as well, I have not tried that as of yet. Sorry I can't be of more help right off the bat.

Yeah, the city id is just supposed to show the city the call is from. I wasn't sure if that was going to work or not, its a brand new package. I will see if I can tweak it. I haven't loaded everything to the FTP yet. When the files get uploaded to the FTP it will show in the updater. I got sidetracked today with some family stuff so i'm running behind. I was gonna upload and link the wallpapers tonight though. I still have to cab up some of the themes. PRL stuff i haven't gotten to work since before tp2 on the diamond, lol. I used to leave it out, but i haven't yet on the tp2. I think most people flash back to stock to update the prl and others if i'm not mistaken. But thx for letting me know, i had not tried those yet.

Just loaded the 23518 2.5 rom, but I see the 6.1 EVDO icon right away. Is that a 6.5.x thing?

Re: <> 01-09-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's <> Sense 2.5 & Titanium <> SYS 21887 & 23518

I use the stock top taskbar in my roms (stock top taskbars are all the same regardless of 6.1, 6.5 or 6.5.x), so if you mean the white box with Ev in it, then that is normal and the way it's supposed to be. If you don't have any notifications of any kind then from left to right on the top you will have the white box Ev icon, white Signal bars with white data arrows on top icon, white Speaker icon, white Battery icon, and white numbered time. Hope that helps.

UPDATE: Also, the Wallpapers Section is done. Post #2 wallpaper section has been updated accordingly, and so has the FTP. Enjoy the wallpapers. Theme's and TSK's are next to finish on the list. All wallpaper's are in cab form that install the wallpaper to your <>My Documents\My Wallpapers<> folder for your convenience. Enjoy.

LOL, sorry your having to take a downgrade on the Ev icon. I use the stock taskbar all the time because it causes 0% issues. And yea, the threaded email is a nice addition for sure. Probably stick with the 235xx series for 6.5.x unless they incorporate the threaded email into another line, or another "cool" feature comes out, you know how it goes :)

the dialer appears when it wants. Kind of sucks when you NEED to make a call. you ever think about making a sense 2.1 rom? Nobody makes the new builds with 2.1. I think that would offer the newer windows with more stability. :)

I flashed the Sprint 23518 Titanium ROM yesterday and it works great, except for the Bookmarks in Opera 9.7. The Bookmarks button is unresponsive, and if I press the screen to open the context menu and press "Add to Bookmarks," nothing happens. I later installed a different version of Opera browser 9.7 and the Bookmarks work for it, including incorporating the IE favorites. Any fix for this?

Re: <> 01-09-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's <> Sense 2.5 & Titanium <> SYS 21887 & 23518

Did not realize titanium had that issue as i tend to use Skyfire lately and have been running Sense 2.5 rom. Anyways, I guess that 9.7 package is just messed up as it was having issues on 2.5 as well ( i just thought originally 2.5 and that package just weren't playing well together) and I reverted that back to a different package and is working fine, so I guess i'll have to do that for titanium. When I update the Bases I will change the Opera version. Until then, I guess use IE, or Skyfire on titanium bases. Anyone that has to use Opera and has to have the bookmarks, please install a diff version cab like wrn1138 did. And sorry for the oversite.

Thanks for the compliments. The updater is still a work in progress as i have fallen behind due to work and other things the last couple of days. But all the wallpapers are up on the updater, and i have been making some theme tsk's today as well, all most done with those and should have them uploaded tonight. As far as 2.5 goes, if you do for some reason have the dialer pad disappear (this didn't happen to me until i started installing a few interface cabs) just slide the keyboard out and in, fixes it every time. But I think that's it besides the two small thigns listed in the first post with the download links. Hope you enjoy.

I tried to install Max Manila in your ROM but for some reason there were some screen issues, I kept getting a small blank square in the top left hand corner and could not see the numbers on the clock. Do you know any reason why this would be?

Still love the ROM...

Re: <> 01-09-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's <> Sense 2.5 & Titanium <> SYS 21887 & 23518

Not sure, I have never used Max Manila. Funny you say that because a couple people who are running the 23518 Sense 2.5 reported Max Manila ran fine a few posts back. But as far as screen issues, not sure, and since i haven't used it, i have no idea what files are being added/used/modded etc.... So the only thing to do, would be to look at the files that are being installed and try and track it down. Not the easiest of things to do sometimes, especially if there are alot of files in the cab being installed. Also maybe some pics of the screen issues would be very useful, if you can, and a better detail of what your "screen issues" are. So if you can, post some pics and a little better description and we can go from there. Also if you haven't already, you may want to search in the max manila thread to see if anyone else has had the same issue before.

Lovin the rom bro. 2 quick questions:
1. Having an issue with wi-fi. Searched the post and got a bit confused with how to enable it
2. Where are the settings for Showcase task manager
Otherwise no issues. Great work
