Open keyboard and slide back and that will fix your dialer issue. Are you on the latest 2.5 23518 ROM? If so, I haven't had that happen yet. I used to have that happen on the newer Leo Phone Canvas, so I reverted back on the newer ROM's.

Also starting to get a few things cab'ed up. Posted the regular Medium Hills Taskbar theme set under Taskbars in the updater. More to come soon.
UPDATE: Uploaded a few more taskbar themes to the taskbars section of the updater.

Great work on your roms. I like the latest one. One problem I saw, don't know if others posted yet. When I get a phone call, there is no sound. I've seen this problem on other chefs' roms with the landscape sense 2.5 and wm 6.5.x. Mighty Mike's IMPACT rom has this problem too.

Any ideas on this?

PS. I am referring to the sprint 23518 sense 2.5

dibbson, Is there anyway that you could post a link to the FTP that the APP points to?

I only ask as the APP is an AWESOME idea but it is not the easiest to navigate in its current state.

Thanks

RONMAC...... lol. Yeah, I've got a couple things to do to the app today. The Navigating part is due to that fact that MS never released a proper SDK for developing 6.5. They released a DTK but it doesn't do much. Biggest issue with it is that the scroll bars don't show up for webbrowser controls. But never fear, i have a way around that ;) Also landscape works great to navigate, it just displays the portrait picture, but you can use the arrow controls to move around.

Also if anyone was extra smart and used the ROM part of the updater app, they would have noticed I uploaded 6 new ROMs last night as well as some other stuff :) Will link them soon as i plan on overhauling the first the post of this thread today.

Also, if your wanting the fip address, just type it in, when you scroll across one of my rom download links in the first post.

i flashed the 23518 2.5 sprint....and the opera tab (on main screen) wasnt working and was just staying on the htc screen...so i hardreset my phone again....and i tried going into one of the preset favorites and still no luck...skyfire seems to be working fine...and the opera link in the internet folder seems to not be working...i wonder if anyone else is having this problem...i am able to access the updater just the way you said with connecting my internet. and i tried connecting the internet for opera but still no luck.

Re: (01-07-2010) Medium Hill ROM's - w/ Updater *Newest SYS* = 23518

yeah, i noticed that this morning as i tend to use the Skyfire as default. If you open skyfire twice on the second time it will ask you if you want it as default and then it links it to the internet tab on TF. Not sure why Opera 9.7 is broke with this build since its worked fine before. But just let skyfire link as default though, much better browser imo anyways.

Started restructuring the first 3 posts. Will finish the first post tonight and then start working on post 2 and 3. Uploading 6 more Base ROMs right now. Sprint, Verizon, and USCC 23518 Sense 2.5 and Sprint, Verizon, and USCC 21887 Sense 2.5. After I finish those two things, I'm gonna finish making the cabs, and fix and add a couple things to the updater app. Also, I got some new oem files today, so testing those out on the 2.5 builds now. City ID app, and HTC Video Phone Canvas are 2 of the new things. When the 6 ROMs finish uploading, I will update Post #1 like I did with the Titanium ROMs.

No Problem. Funny, Sittin at my GF's house right now outside mauldin in Five Forks.

Also, Best version i've put out yet of Sense 2.5. Running very stable so far. No more dialer/phone canvas/call history/whatever issues with that anymore. Only thing is you still need to use the native text app in accessories folder though for MMS. I forgot the reg edit for up'ing the MMS send limit though in this series, so I will make a cab for it and load it up for the updater later. Once these 6 Base ROMs upload, the only time they will be updated are for new sys's. All hotfixes or big squashing will be sent download through the updater app for you to download and install. I am hoping I can finish everything by tomorrow or Sunday.

Gonna try. I got alot of stuff worked out for 2.5 so far, i pulled back the uploaded to try and include these fixes. I had to pull the new Video Canvas as the ringer was intermitent when receiving calls, so i went back to the leo canvas, and it's working perfect so far. Should be another hour or so, and i'll start uploading again.

Sorry, Sprint TV is not forgotten. It's just, I got alot of new packages today and i've been going through them all day. I don't want to fix something that might not need fixing until I get this done. I pulled the Sense 2.5 downloads because of it. Once i get everything settled in and I finalize the 2.5 ROMs, then I will load up the cab, see if it works now or not and if not, then I will see what needs to be done.

Which ROM are you using, just to be sure? I'm assuming 2.5. SMS should work fine, it did for me through the Messaging tab of TF, I havent had any issue with SMS at all on any ROM that i know of, just MMS. You have to use the text app in the accessories folder though to send a MMS.

Dibb, thumbs up man. This is what a ppc user really wants. A stable base/platform + latest modules, plug-ins etc that don't jeopardize stability, plus a suite of customizable enhancements to (looks, function, entertainment) e.g. menu, tabs, buttons, cabs etc. Base 23518 is only 112 Mb then anyone can junk it up.

Hey keep it up men. This is on line independent cooking with no two alike Roms linked to a live FTP, talk about ROM support.

Ques: When new modules, sys,ex, xip enhancements become available are you intending to cab whats cabbable up and place an updated build with whats changed? ie when can one just download a cab to add a new ROM enhancement vs a recommended build with several enhancements or non-cab-installables like some plug-gins which require a particular build which requires flashing and how are you planning to separate the two via you FTP?

The idea of a base ROM on ppc is excellent, people like to individualize their devices and this is great start. The other chefs carry ideas that are cutting edge but personalized to "their" taste as there is always something on a rom someone wishes they had but another thing on the same ROM they couldn't stand....

I noticed no manila 2.5 on 23518. How can one incorporate it?

Good job on a different approach.

23518 sense 2.5 will b up today, just was tired last night. And yes, i'm gonna try and do all updates through updater and only update the ROMs with new SYS's. I should have everything done this weekend. Also updates will be pushed through the CABs catergory of the updater.

Yes, please use ROM's from first post now, as they are they most up to date. Or click on the ftp link a couple posts up for 21887 2.5. And if u want 23518 2.5, it will b up today, and way more stable with NO dialer issues or anything. I worked real hard on these base ROMs.

Yeah, all that stuff is coming down today from post 2 and 3. Please use the 23518 version i'm about to post as it is WAY more stable thanks to some new packages i got yesterday.

On a side note, feel free to look through the ftp directories from the link i listed above, but a word of caution. If the rar file for the rom is less than 90MB, its for the Diamond, not TP2. Just wanted to put that out there incase someone thought i had a ridiculusly small rom for TP2, lol. After i finish restructuring the ftp today it wont make a diff though.

Ok, I took down post 2 and 3 in preparation, also finished post 1 and put the Sense 2.5 links up. The 21887 6.5 Sense 2.5 Links are G2G. 23518, I noticed a minor glitch with some memory mapping, so i pulled the downloads yet again ( I really don't think anyone realizes how many times i've pulled this upload between yesterday and today, but i'm trying to give you the best bases possible as quickly as possible so bare with me). So try out the 6.5 Sense 2.5 and see what you think. 23518 will be exactly the same except for the obvious bottom taskbar ;)

Yea, i'm trying to get it down, to just nit picky stuff. The only 2 things I found with the 21887 2.5 ROM "so far" is listed there with it in post 1. Overall, I think the new files i got yesterday really helped with some stability issues. 2.5 Seems to run alot better now. Flashing another 23518 ROM now. Really not sure what is up with it. Titanium build is fine with the memory, for some reason it was not with the 2.5. I'll get it worked out soon.

Re: <> 01-09-2010 <> Medium Hill ROM's <> Sense 2.5 & Titanium <> SYS 21887 & 23518

good job dibb on getting it right. Its great to have the extra flexibility in manila 2.5 with a stable 23518. When I hit download, its sure to be freeze free rom for the most part.

Ive used a freeze free test to compare rom stability as follows:

1) installing multiple programs at once that require a hard reset but reject the resetting when prompted.
2) Setup and reconcile email.
3) Go into manila 2.5 or arc-soft-whatever stable messaging UI is available and send "me" a picture mail to my phone number alongside a cc to my email adress setup above.
4) restore contacts and make sure pic mail came through sprints service and email adress
5) Monitor manila speed on TF3D and start menu navigation speed.

If ROM doesn't freeze after these motions, its less likely to during use.

Ive used Juicy's R4 though he had up to R7 out. Even though its not landscaped, its a perfect stable build 21887, i.e. everything works perfectly.

YAY!!

Is the mms going to be the same it has been for sprint? I noticed in Merdinh's newest rom he has arcsoft mms replacing the sense msging very nicely. As in when you get a msg it shows and you can click right in and reply without having to go into all msgs to do so. Sounds simple, but in function it is fantastic. All msging just works without having to jump around between different programs and such. So far the only 6.5.3 and 2.5 rom that has done that so fluidly.

I know people really like the sense msging and if it could all function from the same place for sprint I would too, but it could be a nice fluid option for sprint people.

Again REALLY appreciate all your hard work. It's amazing.

He either reprogrammed the softkey to go there or he left out HTC Messaging. I have not ran his ROM, so i'm just guessing. If I leave out HTC Messaging, it works that way with the All Messages softkey, but.... I have it like I do, because, i think the majority percentage of messages being sent are SMS, so thats why I left HTC Messaging there for quick SMS. And here is a idea for ya, On your Sense Home tab, just put the text app from accessories as a quick link on one of the 3 if you really want quick access to MMS.

and a quick upload status while i'm replying

USCC 23518 2.5 = 0% Uploaded
