Dibbs, I think the recent update for Groovemobile is defective. SciLor already posted an update. I tried the one cooked into 23547 and it kept freezing. Gonna try to install the update but not sure if it will override the existing version or install in addition.

it will install on top of the current, it will just place the icon on the main start menu instead of the multimedia folder. edit the cab if you want to place the icon in the appropriate folder. the only issue i had with v5 was the import online playlist wouldn't work, other than that it worked fine for me.

Yeah, I just moved the new icon into the multimedia folder. I can report for anyone with a Grooveshark account that v6 does import your online playlists. This application has already surpassed Nanogroove and in addition, the fact that it's free doesn't hurt. Thanks Dibbs for bringing it back to the forefront by cooking it into your ROMS.

really, someone still uses ie? lol. its still there, just not the link. there is a reason for it. and by calendar curtain, do u mean slide curtain? if so, i posted a cab for that a week or two ago if u look back or on the ftp although i may have attached it, cant remember.

Ok, I'll look through the thread and your files to find the cab. Also, I rarely use IE6, but there are times when Opera incompletely downloads files (it says its downloaded a 4.6MB file but in the FE it shows up as something like 28kb). When this happens, I turn to IE6 to download...

LOL I hate IE, its obsolutely useless. Opera is the best browser out there with skyfire as a distant second IMO (flash needs). BTY opera 10 is out of beta now I think, have you looked into using that?

I should have the cabs cleaned up soon for the updater as it's a rats nest in the thread right now. You could use skyfire to download the file with as an alternative to opera.

Could be due to me changing the boot sequence by removing some startup items so the rom boots quicker without you having to do the alignment and date screen. I'll take a look at it though.

Yeh, i'm looking at it now, not the highest on the priority list though, as i have a huge project i'm working on for work that i have to have done by sunday. If i get it done though, i have an unexpected series of updates i'm gonna drop that will change the roms a little.

Dibbs, been using the 3/24 23547 Verizon rom for a day now. Very nice! Also, not sure what you did, but the htc messaging seems much faster. Everything seems a bit quicker too.

MMS Video Issue
I also have a little problem that hopefully somebody can help out with. MMS is working fine for pictures. However, I noticed a problem with receiving videos. I receive them as a jpg, qcp, and text file... Needless to say the video is pretty much destroyed.

Test:
1) Send myself a 342kb 3gp video:
- MMS draft plays fine.
- However, I receive the MMS with a jpg, qcp, and txt file.
- Check "Sent Items" folder, and the MMS message is OK. Content is a 3gp video.
2) Send my wife a 342kb 3gp video:
- She received it and played it fine on a lg chocolate touch.
3) Updated Arcsoft to 5.2.6.45:
- Same problem with MMS videos.
- Seems older Arcsoft 5.0.90 conflicts with the newer version. After I soft-reset the phone it went back to the old version.

Well that is all the info I got. Hopefully someone can help out. Not that urgent as I never really receive mms videos (usually just pics), but it is nice for it to work when I do get one. ;)

no, but in htc messaging (maybe email too, not sure) I get a double blinking curser.

I also just noticed that my top taskbar changes colors to my lockscreen wallpaper sometimes, but I see that happening on most roms. prob nothin can do with that.

I'm not sure if it is a B or U version... it is the WVGA version.

I got the cab from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624375

I looked for a newer version, but seems arcsoft cabs are hard to come by... and not much info on them. I have often wondered why there is not a better sms/mms program out yet?!

*EDIT* I know the above link points to the arcsoft 5.2.8.45 version, but turns out when you install the wvga version it says 5.2.6.45... something about a diff dll for the wvga.

5.2.6.45 is the newest and it must be a mislabel of the 8. But that should be taken care of in the next update. And as far as better program, you got me...... Obviously people don't text enough to require a better program i guess? lol, who knows....

Dibbs,

I took a 3 week hiatus from MH ROMs when you were debugging the secure exchange issues (and I was on the road a lot). Just installed the most recent 6.5.X ROM from 3/24 -- very nice. I REALLY appreciate all the little things you do to make your builds look good and function well. ...and you include a lot of apps that I normally need to install myself. Only been using the ROM for a few hours but so far so good.

I've added the colored settings cab and colored comms settings cab and they work great. Have you considered cooking them in? I can attach them if you're interested...

Re: <> 3-24-10 <> Medium Hill Rom's <> SYS 23547 & 21895 <> MH UC & Provisioning v3.2

I appreciate it for sure, it saves me time from looking and keeps me in the cookin', lol. And that goes for anyone, if you have something that is an updated version of something or fixes something, feel free to post it, as I always try to keep things current and fixed as much as possible. Sometimes it's just hard for me to catch everything. And like I said in earlier posts, this round of updates are going to change things a little, for the better. Only thing I have to really do to finish is to finish the updater, and edit the new SYS a little more, and a couple manila things here and there.

I thought I did add the colored comm manager cab? It's on my phone....

Out of curiosity, does anyone still use the 6.5 ROM's at all? I used to keep track of downloads but haven't looked in awhile, but before no one hardly ever downloaded it. Just wondering if any of ya'll are still using the 6.5. As I know everyone seems to use the 6.5.x
