I vote for taskbar as cab install and for Arcsoft to be the default client, and Sense 2012.13 :) Maybe a 23549 rom will be up tonight? Or at least one in your test folder.

Signal bars work fine for me on the taskbar. Personally I really like the android taskbar etc included with this rom. However I would ok with a cab to install also (since we have this great autocab install feature). Whatever works for all.

Ok, I already kinda touched on the 2012 manila version difference in the 6.5 sprint update rom (2012.1225 and 2012.1324) in an earlier post, but I will explain a little further for you. One is the 2012 part. What does 2012 mean?.... 2012 means that these versions of manila were made in February of 2010. 20 = 2010 and 12 means february. The next two numbers 12 and 13, those were the day they were made. the 1 means it was within the first 9 days of the month with the second being the actual day. So the builds were made a day apart. The last two numbers i'm not sure of. But these two builds were built almost simultaneously or atleast compiled simultaneously, which led me to my earlier statement of the only difference is probably just the sprint music/nav/and tv manila tabs for the most part, and I don't think VZ/USC/or Telus user's want those tabs, lol. This also tells us about how long sprint had been playing with this version of the update round about, which would also explain the use of 21889 which came out around the middle of january with the next com 2 sys coming out right about the time they got their version of manila. So, if they tweaked the sys before hand, that would have gave them a little over a month to tweak their version of sense 2.5 which is plenty of time to fix some of the bugs that are present in the update, like the flip clock fix..... such a simple thing to fix, but somehow they left out the fix?....

Ok, sprint/uscc test rom is up for download in the test folder. Here are the changes: SYS 23549, removed HTC Messaging, removed old people and messaging manila tab, added ported people and messaging tabs from sprint update rom, skin for default wm text app (let me know if you like this skin, just thought it would be different).

Dibbson - Could you check something and see if your able to turn off the SD encryption. Settings/security/encryption . I have a new kingston 4gb sd card and I can't flash from it. It looks like maybe after I flashed to the new stock rom somehow it screwed it up. I have been really fighting it. I just tried to uncheck encrypt files and it won't save the setting. It is checked by default on the 49 build I just flashed. So I guess watch out for that. But check yours if you could.

I'm going to reformat my sd card again and then hard reset
Edit: I reformatted my card - hard reset - looked and the box was unchecked. I then looked at it again and it was checked and won't turn off.

must have been something u did. i dont even have that setting showing on my end. what ever u did, it must have been pulling that setting from ur storage card.

If you go to the settings tab then security you don't have encrytion at the top along with certificates and phone lock and factory reset?

ok, sorry i was going through the start menu, not the htc settings tab. yeah i see what u mean, so i did a test. i took the same sd card and put some files on it from my sprint tp2. then put that sd card in my vz tp2. files worked fine. vz tp2 has the same rom but vz version, and has the same thing u mentioned. so i put some files on the same sd card from the vz tp2 and then put the card back in the sprint tp2 and the files worked fine again. if it was actually encrypting them, it should not have worked both times.

Hey thanks for the help! As soon as I figure out this card issue I will check out the rom more. I do like the new skin on the text though. I tested out a couple of other roms for a day and still keep yours on my phone. Nice job.

My old 2gb works fine. I know it's kind of a common problem. Just didn't expect it to not work on my new card. I like to keep your rom on there to flash on the fly!

So far everything is working well on the test ROM and I like the sms skin; I'm stoked somebody figured out how to skin that! I noticed that when disconnecting data in the comm manager a pop-up comes up to confirm. Anyway to disable this? Also, in that pop-up message the text is not displaying correctly. Not a big deal, but just thought I would mention it.

yeah, that has to be something in manila or the SYS, I switched comm managers to a newer version actually and it was still there. Not too big of a deal, just hit select all and then done and it works fine, only slightly annoying, but i'll look into it. The top part cut off is probably due to 6.5.x alignment

Cool, thanks! Any idea when the MH Updater will be back online? So far I really like your ROM and I will stick with it for awhile.

Also, I started a thread for objective comparisons of TP2 ROMs with available RAM/ROM, boot time, and benchmark scores (which don't seem to mean much of anything), and yours is included. With your previous ROM I was unable to benchmark because I was getting ActiveSync connection errors, though not anymore. I will update the results with your new ROM. Follow the link in my sig if you want to see the results.

Yeah thanks, I've read your thread a few times since you posted it ;) and yeah, I got those active sync bugs squashed. As far as the updater, not sure, but i do have a work around I could..... use... i guess.

So far so good on the test ROM. No issues and it's running fast. Any change you can grad the Twitter tab icon from the new Sprint Stock Rom? Kinda interesting lool.

I really have no idea why it wouldn't work, especially if it's SYS related, which is the only thing it could be, as nothing really changed besides the sys, and the people and messaging tab which the messaging and people tab would have zero effect on fim. If you find a fix let me know, but I haven't seen one.

is the test rom using the sprint core? ive been having some SOD and havent installed anything out of the ordinary. still using my usc radio of course. do i need to flash the sprint radio?

yeah, it's not just you. I think i'm going to use 47 for the release, i've been having some buggyness with 49. I had one SOD after 2 days, and some random manila weirdness. So i'm going to use 47, also using it for fim as I'm adding the facebook manila tab for this release. Just finished testing it actually, and seems to be working ok. For the status updates to work properly you'll need to have updates enabled in the people tab as that's where it pulls the update data from. The tab is somewhat limited at the moment but works well. I have a couple more things i'm going to do, but release could be tonight.

You. Are. The. Man. yeah fim worked on 47 for me perfectly. Also the Call History Tab works on your rom great. I also found a Comm Manager with colors that shows bluetooth status correctly and wifirouter works with it. I'll post those cabs if anyone is interested.
