I just downloaded the VZ version I just posted a little bit ago, and it downloaded fine for me. Could just be all of you clogged the ftp though and downloading at once, LOL. Well I guess you tweeters have had your hour headstart, guess i'll update the first post now.

Dibbs' or anyone else who prefers Skyfire, can you shed a little light for me. I tried to download a file with Skyfire as my default browser and recieved the error, "requested header could not be located." I've never seen the error before nor had a single problem with Skyfire. I just upgraded to 23547. Anyone else know what this might be caused by? Thanks in advance.

Hmm, not sure, just downloaded a couple files today on skyfire as that is the only browser i use. I actually open and close that app 2 or 3 times on first boot just to get it to give me the option of making it the default browser so it links to the internet tab of manila, LOL. I do know last week, skyfire was having some server issues and were down a couple of times. They might be doing some upgrades possibly. Or it could just be a random issue with the server you are trying to connect to, since your saying it is a header issue which technically would be caused by something on the server you are trying to connect issue.

I suspect after reflashing and having the same issue that this may in fact, as Dibbs suggested, be related to a problem on Skyfire's end. If anyone has the opportunity, could you go to ppcgeeks from your device using skyfire and try to download any file? I just want to confirm that this is more than just my problem. I appreciate it, thanks in advance.

You guys are having more fun again tonight? Happy patty's day! Install a green theme.

I'm still rocking 23544 build. And I would flash tonight, but I think sprint's 6.5 release is coming out Friday. Hopefully there will be some good stuff from there to incorporate, or at least a new radio.

I have a question- With the other roms, when I get a missed call or voicemail I used to get a notification button appear in the bottom task bar. This rom doesn't seem to do this, am I missing something?

Thanks

Nope, you click on the indicator icon above and then a larger drop down icon will take you to miised calls, text msgs., etc.

If I remember right, there is a setting for the bottom notification popup. Don't remember off the top of my head where it's at as i'm just waking up.... but I think it only pops up now if your in a app. I was in skyfire yesterday (ironically) and kept getting those popups of notifications, email, then txt, then call, lol...

Great ROM, Verizon 23544 build.

Besides the airplane at the top, the only other thing I am finding issue with concerns the phone icon on the home screen. Every time I have a voicemail it automatically calls voicemail when I press it. What if I want to just look at call history? Sometimes I just want to see who called instead of checking voicemail. I searched, but am I missing a setting that changes this function?

Thanks

Re: <> 3-17-10 <> Medium Hill Rom's <> SYS 23547 & 21895 <> MH UC & Provisioning v3.2

@ryee, since i'm more awake now, u can adjust the popup notifications under startmenu-system-sounds and notifications.

@190rev, uninstall the prov cab, it will fix the plane icon (which i thought that was fixed now) and it "should" fix the other issue. If not let me know.

x2 taskmanager has been working great for me, but the htc task manager is another option. People have found how to put it in 6.5.x roms. there are a couple roms using it in these forums.

http://winmo.techparaiso.com/customi...-phone-device/

also, i'm still on 23544 so you may have changed this, but it would be cool to have the wifi sharing in the com manager.

wifi sharing in the comm manager breaks a couple of things, thats why i don't include it.

Also 49 is out, probably start looking into it tomorrow.

23547 on Verizon is working great. agps/my location is also working very good in this version of google maps. Memory usage seems a bit better in the SYS as well.

Wow, 23549 is out already! MS is on a role. So far they seem to be releasing some good SYSs in the 2354x line.

Also opera 10 final is out, seems very stable and a bit quicker than the previous 9.x versions.

Glad it's running good for you cls.

Also, the Sprint 6.5 updgrade is kinda bunk. The radio is about the only good thing coming out of it really. Still gonna look at the 6.5 core and driver's though. But other than those 3 things kindof a disappointment really. And they opted to not use HTC Messaging and use wm default txt messaging, LOL............

I really hope there's a new bluetooth stack. I would do anything to be able to answer an incoming call on Pioneer Head unit.

Also an update on the 47 VZW ROM. ICS still doesn't work as the connect button is still greyed out. If you don't uninstall HTC Messenging it threads the messages in the app but when you swipe over to txts when in an email account they are unthreaded. I even made sure it was threaded in advanced config. Thanks again D.

P.S. aGPS works in the older version of Google Maps you included.

What exactly does upgrading the radio accomplish Dibbs (reception, signal strength issues)? I know it is supposed to be beneficial, just don't know why. Thanks.

dibbson 03-19-2010 05:40 PM

Re: <> 3-17-10 <> Medium Hill Rom's <> SYS 23547 & 21895 <> MH UC & Provisioning v3.2

To be honest, I haven't noticed anything significant from upgrading the radio yet. I was hoping it would increase location data, but so far the VZ 2.23 radio is the most accurate. I have not used it on my sprint tp2 (don't ask me why..., but there is a reason), only the VZ one. But the VZ radio does get a more accurate reading.

EDIT: to all those that like the htc taskmanager, even though it will work with these builds, it still won't close on X because that taskmanager isn't linked to the bottom X button only the top X button of the 6.5 builds. So it's no better than X2 really.

Ok I am a noob to this stuff but I have been flashing some roms over the past few days and I love this one! Thanks so much :) The only think that is driving me nuts is that I love to use the sms/mmms button on my keyboard and it opens the HTC messeging which doesn't seem to work right. I like the WM messeging and was wondering if there is a way to change it so that when I hit that button on my keyboard it will open the WM messeging app?

Hey dibbson

I'm using 23545 (sprint) and am having issue with YouTube. I read the forum pretty much every day, but haven't heard much about YouTube issues. I can play one YT video after a soft reset and then all subsequent videos show 'This video cannot be played'.

I'm thinking about putting 23547 on or the next one. In hopes that the problem goes away.

One thing I did do differently this last burn, was to do it from the SD card (something I have wanted to try and finally thought I would.) Have you ever heard of issues happening when installing from an SD card?

Well, I'm on 23549 atm testing, but used exactly the same packages as 23547 and the sms/mms button takes me to the wm messaging app. Are you on 23547?, because it should be the same on 47. And HTC Messaging works fine for me except for mms, you'll need to use wm default for that.

Hmm, i haven't had any issues with the new youtube app myself, and I did watch a few vids in a row the other night. Not sure why flashing from your SD would cause an issue with it either.

Dibbs, would it be more convenient to leave Groovemobile out of your next update as it seems like the updating of this software is ongoing and the updates do not override but install in addition to the cooked in version. Unless there is a way to install and override that I am not aware. Just a heads up. Keep up the great work.

Well, to be honest the sprint update is a mess to go through. I mean, I could just drop a sys update for 49 if you want. But honestly the sprint update is more or less a let down in allot of ways. It's seems very half *** put together. The manila version is different but i think that's just because they have the sprint tabs in there. Mainly what i'm doing is going through and seeing if they actually have newer drivers and what not. I looked through some stuff yesterday, but have been doing actual work for the last few hours today. And I know allot of people already dumped the sprint dump into their roms in various forms, but my roms are running pretty darn good right now, and I just don't want to dump abunch of new drivers and what not in there and screw everything up. I would rather take my time and add it in a little at a time. I know you flash junkie's are chomping at my heels, but hey... 47 was a pretty darn good release........... ;)

Yes it is!

Just checking in.

I would rather you take your time and produce one of your solid roms rather than rush to just put something out!!!

I would also like to ask for a favor. Would you make the taskbar selection optional, like through a cab install??? For some reason, I don't get any signal bars with the new one or with any of Tsowen's that I have tried??? I assume I have just broken something with one of my installs. This has not happened before and I always install the same stuff????

Thanks

dibbson 03-21-2010 07:35 PM

Re: <> 3-17-10 <> Medium Hill Rom's <> SYS 23547 & 21895 <> MH UC & Provisioning v3.2

I don't care about the taskbars (i can always cook myself my own custom rom, hehe), so it's whatever the general consensus is really. And yes, you broke it *points finger*, lol ;) I have not had any taskbar signal bar issues. Like i've said before, I never install anything else on top of my rom. Mostly because to be honest the rom's that I upload are exactly what I want on my phone, so no need for me to really play with it any. Also, that helps me verify all the issues that you all report. If I do install something, it's just to test, and usually gets uninstalled and then made into an oem for the kitchen. If I do remove the taskbar, I would also remove the custom start menu button as I made that green to match the top taskbar. So... I guess.... I would have to put up a cab for the green and teh blue start menu button. You make me work too much wizzard. Anyways, if the general public wants the taskbar removed in favor of cab install, speak up, or forever hold your peace.
