Dibbs,

with this test rom and the previous test rom I am able to edit the titanium files. However with your 012110 release it was lock down and unable to overwrite the files. Just thought I would let you know.

I with eman on the swype I love that sip. and speaking of sips how do you turn off the automatic deploy mode. I prefer to deploy it manually when I need it.

Thanks eman for the editor. Also it is also built into the ROM.

I actually knew about that method to add/remove/edit panels but was talking mainly about the built in option to remove the getting started panel that wasn't working.

I like the keyboard the way it is....:) No swype pleasy. Looking forward to the 2.5 rom update. Right now my phone ringer isnt working otherwise im good.

You need to go into sounds and set the ringer there. Then it will ring after that.

Do you have Opera Mobile 10b2u installed?

Anyone know if you can edit the size of the context menus after the fact or is that something that is cooked in? It's a little too large for my liking. Thanks!

It's Opera 9.5. Menu's are stock, but might be changed by changing to a theme other than stock. And sorry, i am a little slow moving today, feeling a little under the weather.

Hey, not sure if this will work for Opera Mobile 10b2u, but I figured out how to shrink the context/popup menus for the whole rom. I've been meaning to post this solution since I asked the question earlier in this thread, but never got around to it.

Go to Start->Utilities->Advanced Configuration. Under "User Interface" select "Popup menu font size", and set it to Standard, or customize it. I prefer Standard rather than Large.

On another note, just want to say THANKS to dibbson for the great work. I am using the 1/21 verizon rom, and can't wait for the next update. But no rush, I read you were not feeling good... Get better first.:thumbleft:

Also, I wanted to say that this is still, by far, the best rom regarding memory management. Not sure what dibbson does, but it manages memory/RAM great. I tried a few other custom roms, and got annoyed by programs closing in the background in order to free up RAM. I have NOT had this problem yet with dibbson's rom. This is the #1 reason I switched off the stock roms to custom roms. I guess I just multitask too much... and need to single task more. lol.

BTW, How do you get Opera Mobile (v 9.5, I believe) to read the Windows/Favorites folder? I've used other custom roms where Opera Mobile reads the favorites, so I know it can be done, but I just can't get it working.:?:

First off want to say the sprint 23518 manilla rom is awesome! I am quite suprised more people arent in this thread talking about it. The battery life is sweet. Everything so far super stable. The shitty slow 2.5 messaging is yanked and the older one implemented well. (not sure what package it is but it rocks!) The ram is great and the taskbar at the top rules. So far its pretty functional. Quickmenu has more features but its annoying...

I have only noticed one issue and its with stereo bt jabra 620's Not sure if there are other stereo bt's with same issues, but it cut out every 45s-1m for 5s or so then continues. It's quite annoying but this is the most serious issue I have found. Everything else works pretty dang smooth!

Couple questions.

There is no incall recorder. Can I use the one from mikey's thread? Or is there something else that will work well?

I don't need a provisioning cab or anything for sprint/you cooked it in? Data didn't work till i inputted my number using opera.. (kinda weird..) but it seems to be working pretty good so far.

Also does the latest max manilla work?

On a separate note, I noticed that my phone's incoming ring stopped working today. I uninstalled max manila 2.82a, and reset. That fixed the incoming ring.

I then installed max manila 2.81, and reset. Incoming ring still works. Looks like max manila 2.82a breaks the incoming phone ring.

My ringer is working fine on the new test Rom. I did need to go into the sound settings and re-choose a ringer to get it working. Hope you feel better man!

Also, a weird issue I have seen but might be related to something else I have installed, when I ignore a call it opens up an active sync instruction page as well as my comm manager. Can someone else test this and see if they get this as well.

Ringer issues are with the 1/20 sense 2.5 wm 23518 ROM. Pay us no mind Dibbson, and just rest up. Things can wait till you get better.

Trying to feel better. Woke up and coughed up a bunch of nasty junk. Went to the doctor this morning and got some meds though. Upper respiratory infection, happy happy joy joy :S Oh well hopefully the medicine well help me feel better. Oh well i tried my best to avoid the sick people this year (not a germiphobe, but would rather not be sick, lol), guess it didn't work, lol. ok so as of right now - which version is most stable to try out? - I'm feeling itchy to reflash. beenrunning Silence_012 for a while - its very stable and smooth.. waiting on SSS R3 , but till then I'd like to try a few different options. Any takers?

Is there an easy way to remove Tsowen Top Taskbar icons and install the original icons.

Regarding the updater app, I cannot see any files even after I ensure I am connected to the internet. Can i reach the cabs outside of the application via a browse?

The best is the 1-22 test release Titanium ROM, sprint and vzw versions, just look in 1-22-2010 range of posts.

I am on the test rom now, but i thought i remembered it working.

Updater App had an issue with newer IE files in that version. It is fixed and better than ever and with a few upgrades to the Updater app. You can DL the test rom that i mentioned above and it has alot of fixes for things including this. Also original icons are back in with the test roms which is the base for the updated roms, when i'm not feeling so sick.

Yeah, i reworked the verizon carrier xml and that has gotten rid of it. It was implemented into the 1-22 test rom, and will be included in the updates.

Well, it's everyone's lucky night, I got the issue worked out, and I am uploading a Sprint 23518 Sense 2.5 test ROM now. It has not really been tested other than it boots up, and basic things seem to work, although it should be the same as the 21889 test rom from a couple days ago. I will be going to sleep now as i am tired, probably shouldn't have worked on this so hard tonight, lol. Anyways, here is the file size so you know when it is done. Exact file size 167,754,196, ftp size will probably show a few MB smaller. The unrared NBH should be 212MB. Should be around an hour as my upload speed is moving about like i feel......

yeah, that should work, it "should" overwrite what's already there, but i don't have USCC service around here so i have never been able to verify it from someone..... You may have to setup MMS to your servers in the registry, not sure if the provisioning cab does that or not as i have not looked through one in a long time. Also updater app is the newer updated version in this test rom as well. If i'm feeling better tomorrow, i will update all ROMs 21889 Series and 23518 Series. Especially if the 23518 Sense 2.5 proves to be good.
