Re: [KITCHEN][ROM]->>Nov 9<<6.5 NK-23506-RZ Baseline TF3d 2.1 & Titanium

I think I found why sms doesnt work - I think it is my HTCmessage, trying a few different things, but when it is left as is (files), the kitchen crashes. when it is moduled (how it was in last night kitchen) the rom builds but the new message function in manila does nothing. I am trying various combinations of squeezed files with modules mui's etc... hope it can get worked out. with htcmessage.exe squeezed and a mui file, kitchen crashes. with moduled mui and squeezed htcmessage.exe the kitchen crashes. htcmessage.exe is already in oemdrivers, next I will try just removing that, even though PRB should be able to overwrite it with no problem.

edit: removing htcmessage.exe from oemdrivers did not stop the crashing,,

Well, I just removes HTC Message and HTC Messaging CLient from the EXT manila files and dependencies (maybe system?) idk.. and texting works. ... but i have this weird problem now where the customizations wont complete after flashing. and it glitches around until i soft-reset it. then the theme isnt changed to flamerize. . . ugh.

Side note. The only part of contacts that dont work for me is when i go to the phone then click on contacts then nothing shows up. but it's fine if im in a txt adding a recipient, or just hit the contacts button on the home tab

forgot to mention, autorun is finally building properly with your kitchen =D

thanks for all your help with it! and for your great kitchen, can finally use it now.

all i did was the following on my Windows x64 machine:
  • copy msvcrt71.dll to windows/system32 folder
  • set administrator/windows xp compatibility mode for htcrt.exe and the implantxip exe files under your tools directory

i'm currently running manila 2.5 (with a 32MB pp like you did =P); seems to be working fine right now. using this disable htc messaging cab to use the microsoft default threaded sms (which i prefer anyways)

they were in the previous kitchens but just not categorized, and yeah it is a good idea to update the ext's, and the kitchen file itself... I would just get the whole thing and add your customizations back

well i could never and still can't get my location to work so 2.5 pretty much is useless to me. as it just not working... so guess back to my trusty old 2.1

really? that is so strange, what if you just cook with the unmodified kitchen, does mylocation work then? it should... location works for me using gps and radio towers in 2.5. it seems 2.5 SMS is a known issue and I am not doing anything wrong in that department, I just CFC'ed the new 2.5 files and it made a slight difference. I like it, also fixed the bookmark issues only thing that doesnt work is footprints camera. building manila 2.5 takes 4 minutes on my laptop.. I wonder how long the VK users have to wait lol
