the famous da_g thread where you can find the latest WM SYS:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544445

good platformrebuilder resource:
http://forum.mobione.pl/index.php?PH...75914#msg75914

buildos but still excellent information:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=541504

none of these are specific to TP. rstoyguy has excellent threads on here with rom cooking theory (buildos):
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...19&postcount=8

the rest of the thread:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=294019

the best way to learn (IMO) is to dive in: just get a simple kitchen and try to swap out apps with those from other kitchens. once you get that down you can move onto upgrading the SYS of that kitchen (in my kitchen SYS upgrades are super easy). after sys is XIP (the main OS kernel) these days we really do not have to port XIP's since da_g usually just posts the MSXIPkernel from each build with his SYS.

If you can learn to cook in one day then you'd be a superhuman... I am still learning more every day

I really like this rom but it has been crashing at least 5 times a day. It's also a 50/50 if I install nuePowerCPL and try to check out the battery% it will freeze and crash.

I flashed stock, flashed rom, hard reset.

I did not know I included the manila program tab, I meant to replace it with the WM start menu.. I am not a manila guru by any means (I prefer titanium), as far as your stability issues I think all those cabs are where your issues lie, I know it's a lot to ask but could you hard reset and install one at a time and let me know when it starts crashing? maybe I can make a cab of the program that is designed to work on my rom or something...

first though I would try removing nueCPL... just a hunch, my experience with nuerom stuff has not been good with 6.5, especially with the native kernel. CleanRAM is knowsn to cause problems with manila 2.1.... Did you try the graphics out before you installed the GFX boost? the video drivers are one of the strong points of my stuff (IMO). I have never seen video performance faster than mine...

I guess what I am suggesting is to run the rom without auto-installing all those things and see if you think the extra stuff is unnecessary. The less you have on your phone the better it will run and the more stable it will be. this is proven. I hope it helps..

Re: [ROMs][KITCHEN]->>Oct 18<<6.5 NK-RZ Baseline 23069 TF3d 2.1 & Titanium

I will eventually hard reset I guess, but first I will try un-installing the cabs 1 by 1 and see what's up, would that be a similar option? Im going to start with nue, and htcfreeram, then run the rom all day tommorrow and see when and if it crashes.

As for the manila program tab it could be the manila start menu...I think i got them mixed up because they look the same. It has also been awhile since I've seen the manila start menu, not since WM 6.1 so... But still how do I remove the locked programs lol?

As for gfx boost, I did try the rom for about 8 hours before I installed it. Just one of those cabs I always install in hopes to improve the T.P. performance. Would that make it crash? Now for video performance maybe I screwed up the Youtube too because i tried to play 1 video and it was super choppy... I do also have streaming media on there but I dont know how it got on there...

Thanks for the quick response btw.

Here are the registry edits to make to make the Program Tab a permanent part of your Touch Flo line up:

[HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila]
"EnableStartMenu" = Change Reg_DWORD from "1" to "0"
"Manila://programs.page.hidden" = Change Reg_DWORD from "1" to "0"

[HKLM\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu]
"EnableManilaStartMenu" = Change Reg_DWORD from "1" to "0"

Here are the registry edits to unlock the first 4 or 5 squares in the Program Tab:

[HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Program Launcher]
in the Program Launcher folder you will see folders numbered 0-23. They are not in order. To unlock the first square in the program tab open the "0" folder and change the value data for Reg_DWORD from "1" to "0". 1 is to lock; 0 is to unlock.
Do the same for folders 1-4 to unlock those squares.

There are cabs that do all this for you, but I find doing it yourself is usually the better route. Some cabs can inexplicably cause other problems. A quick search for "program tab cab" or something of the sort should yield some results though, if you're so inclined.

Here's a cab that gives you 4 rows instead of 3 on your program tab it also gives 4 rows instead of 3 in the "All Programs" section of your program tab:

Thanks Sharkie, I know I probably could have searched but you saved me some time.
