Edit: Nevermind, i fixed it. I just installed one of the original nue power driver cabs that was released over a year ago. If anyone needs the cab let me know

I've had the last ROM on the drive for a couple of days and it just now popped up the detection. Detections went all the way back to the 9/20/09 ROM which is the oldest NRG I have.

Still clean in Avira 9 Free. I'm still betting it's a false positive. Something is just coincidentally matching some new malware signature. Not sure if this is still accurate, but below is what used to be the procedure to submit suspected false positives to AVG:

* Open AVG User Interface.
* Choose the "Virus Vault" option from the "History" menu.
* Select the false positive file (one click) and click on the "Send to analysis" button.
* Fill in your e-mail address
* Confirm the dialog

By the way, I wonder if other non-energy roms also get tagged?

Can someone please confirm if they can install java apps on a 23541 Energy build? Anytime I try to add a java app (Gmail, Opera Mini, etc), I'm getting "file error" on the Energy.HERMAN.23541.Titanium.Feb.26 rom. Thanks.

A google search for generic16.bzzo only turns up three results - energyrom, and two other roms (not for raph800)....

I downloaded Energy.HERMAN.23541.Titanium.Feb.26. version of the rom. I loved it when I installed it, however i immediately ran into problems.

1st Problem was when I tried to send a message it would give me SIM Card error, which I ended up fixing thanks to one of the post here.

2nd Problem was that I would keep receiving an error saying that the email address was incorrect when I tried to send a message (sms), I ended up fixing that with one of the sms fix files that was posted here.

3rd Problem was the battery issue, up in the taskbar showing a 100% but when you clicked on it, then it would show 0%, so, that ended up being fixed with a file that was posted here at the top of page 2404 nuepower cab file.

4th Problem that I am currently experiencing is when i go to the start menu and want to go to any folder or anything, it would just blurr everything up, you can click on the icons, but your not sure which icon you are clicking, you can't read anything, its just a mash of icons and some writing. That problem, I have been unable to fix so far.

If anyone has a suggestion i am open to try anything, if not, then I would be forced to use another rom, so hopefully it doesnt get to that point.

Good to know that it's not limited to NRG, I take it as additional indication of a false positive. Generic16.bzzo would be AVG's name for the detection, other vendors may call it something else. Plus, "generic" implies it's a heuristic detection, in other words, an educated guess. Those getting these malware alerts should all submit them to their respective AV vendors for review so they can fine tune their detections as appropriate.

Try scanning with MSE. MSE scored second highest for heuristic malware detection and also has the single lowest rate of false detection, at the same time. And it's free, from MS. Can't beat that...
