the dec 25th rom had way way too many issues... I expected as much tho since nrg was uploading from a holiday inn... Im sure he didn't spend too much time on it...

Hey folks,

I'm running the EnergyROM_21885_HERMAN_25.Dec.2009_StandardM2.5 Release, and since updating my Google ActiveSync is acting whacky. Every time it connects after syncing, it says it needs to delete my data due to significant server changes. I can't seem to find anyone else discussing the topic, but wanted to ask this fine group if anyone else is experiencing this issue.

I am going to hard reset tonight, and see if that makes a difference. I am connected via ActiveSync to only Google, for Email, Calendar, and Contacts, which up until this last ROM install, worked flawlessly.

I'll post the results of the hard reset.

For quite some time I have been unable to recieve or send MMS messages ? Is there anything I can do about this ? I know it has prolly been discussed here but this thread is out of control lol

When I go to send a picture from my albums the SMS MMS is grayed out and when I recieve a MMS it comes as a SMS that says whatever.jpg but I cant view the picture ?

UPDATE.

Ok I just figured out how to view the ones I recieve, but how do I send them ?

Now it seems on the newest December 25th 2.5 Maxmanilla I cant even respond to SMS, ugh. I am typing my message hitting the send button next to where you input your text it acts like it sends but alas it is not showing up above in the convo and they are not receiving them

I had the same issue. A few pages ago, this is the recommendation that was given until a new build is made unless you want to revert to a prior build:

I also manually installed the official Sprint Arcsoft cab as well. Works OK for the time being.

So you would suggest the official sprint arcsoft cab ? Is that linked on this thread I will check the attachments and see if I can find it. I like this new rom but I guess if this goes on much longer I will have to revert to the Christmas one I was using

yea that must be it. i was going through my phone... must be new problem though because i originally downloaded this ROM this way with no problem. is there a mirror for the ROM posted any where?

I have been having issues with my internal ROM memory getting completely wiped after using this ROM for a day or two.

Steps to repro:
1. Install latest EnergyROM for Herman with MaxManila. 5.2.28011.5.5.0
2. Use the phone for a day or so.
3. The phone locks up. I reset it
4. On reboot it goes through the re-installation process again. (albeit not plugged into a computer)

I have tried a couple of different version of EnergyRom released in December, and every one does the same thing except for the December 4th build.

any random reset that initiates a reboot installation process is generally related to a bad flash. Did you do flash dances in between these occurances? I would try a full flash dance to clear the system out and start fresh. I have never had a random hard reset after a flash dance install of any custom ROM.
