Don't knock it till you try it. SMS/MMS all work out of the box, at least it will if he cooked in Arcsoft. Tip: to get to WM default messaging in landscape just hit "All Messages" then open your keyboard.

i didn't knock it man!!! the edit is because when i went to logoff twitter i saw nrgz updated a tweet while i was posting the first one in my post, so i thought i would be kind enough to add the rest of nrgz tweet,i didn't knock anything lol,check his twitter tab,its all there

Bro-IMO I wouldnt waste more time trying to fix messaging, this is just a guess but it should be much improved in the newest builds.

Like when I switch from portrait to landscape it will slowly fade to green or black then wen i slightly push the screen back to portrait a little it will jump back to it's normal state..

Maybe I'm just the only one to experience this, NRG knows, & he's in the works of making a new rom anyway so I can wait

To me it sounds like the early signs of your screen going bad. At least thats by the description of what happened to my first 2 touch pros and 1 mogul in the past.
