my brother has a tp2 and he has a .cab that increases the size off mms sent up to 1.5mb or something like that,i had installed it on ol'trusty here in the hopes it may work but it was no go........anybody know of anything similar or how to increase the size of mms sent for our tp's??

well i found this one,it takes it from 500k to 1000k

So much for that 2.5 is a bit too buggy for me still, think I'm gonna jump back to the 21876 for now

The power of The Search may have paid off. I said I punted on the Album issue but I couldnt let it go. I dont know what album version is currently cooked in but I found Album 3.0 ported for VGA from the Diamond2.
I ran the cab, with Sense OFF, then re-enabled Sense. I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS FULLY. I can say it appears stable!!! No crashes as I have jumped in/out of a dozen pics and videos. Wanted to post this up so more people can test it out.

EDIT: I see jdm is on it too, i looked at the zip and saw xml files, am waiting for jdm to clarify what that zip is all about.
EDIT2: If you have trouble installing, try this:
Turn off Sense, Soft reset, run the cab. It should go. My guess is the old Album (or another program) was running in the background preventing the first install . You could look in Task Manager and try to see what is running, but the SR is the easy way out

You may have already done it but just wanted to clarify-what build are you on? And did you do the WHOLE MMS dance-remval cab, SR, Arcsoft SR?
You may also need the DCD carrier cab for Alltell/Verizon as well as ensuring the server settings are correct. Search "Verizon MMS" and "Whotahn" that may help. This would be if you are on the 21xxx builds, Threefaces said the old process worked for him. Like someone else stated, it wont work from Sense 2.5 even with the process. I have MMS working Out Da Box-no tweaks/fixes,just not from Sense.



My ringers are nice and loud, no dialer cut off (at least not frequently, MAYBE once) SMS works fine. I did get one error message today but it wasnt the SIM card error, that was 1 out of prob 25 SMS's. I've sent a dozen since then and all is fine. I know your are on 2.1 but I'm on the "less stable" 2.5 and I dont have those issues. Did you do the Stock Flashdance? It could be a bad flash.
And no, Landscape hasnt been "fixed" yet. It's not really broken since it never existed in the original port. While not 100% functional I've got all the Landscape I need-ie Messaging and Opera.



Have you tried the Maxx Mod for Sense? It'll give you 16-20 tabs plus a whole lotta other cool mods. I ran it fine on 28002, havent tried it on 28004 yet.

OK just did a QUICK review of the thread, says v2.5 doesnt play well with this ROM but good news to all Maxx Mod fans-v2.6 is in the works So if you try it you might want to go with v2.2-that was the last one that worked before v2.5-it'll give you 16 Home Tabs I believe.



Which dialer, default or WM?

Thanks for the response, you're awesome. I like landscape for SMS, so it's just a preference I'm not willing to give up. 2.1 is more stable, and the SMS Sim card issue is really a big problem that no matter how many times I flash, and re-flash, isn't going away since I flashed the Nov 25 builds; if I flash back to previous builds it wasn't a problem. The ringer volume is low when HTC Touchflo is on, if I turn it off and use the Windows Default, the ringer is loud as heck. Otherwise, it's not loud enough for me to hear it when I have TouchFlo/Sense enabled, so I have disabled TF3D and just use the default home screen (which sucks, but is still better than 6.1). I'm not really sure what to make of that problem, but I can replicate it every time I turn on TF3D. It didn't matter if I was using 2.1 or 2.5 in this case. Otherwise, I think that the 28004 build is the fastest I've used so far, so I'm just living with the bugs I have now. I do know that he doesn't have a TP to test his builds on, and I hope someone has one laying around that they can give him. I did, however, reinstall Opera 10 using the CAB on their site, and the Internet Tab still doesn't launch the browser (in TF3D 2.1) and now when I go from landscape back to portrait view, it blacks out for 2 or 3 seconds then displays a picture. It's weird, but it is a beta browser, so it doesn't bother me that much.

It could be a bad flash. Try redoing it, and see if that solves the problem. I'm not experiencing any bluetooth lockups when I have it synced to my car. A lot of little issues like these can be solved with a Hard Reset or re-flash.

That is really weird that you are having so many issues with manila 2.1 especially considering you've flashed to stock and back. One last time-when you say you "flash and re-flash" you are talking about to Stock ROM and back, right?
For your ringer issue-have you tried just disabling the default dialer instead of Touchflo/Sense entirely? It's a wild guess but thought I'd through it out there.
Yeah, I see that momentary black screen with Opera 10-like you said-it's a beta.
