Thanks for the help! I was able to flash the phone with NRG and it's working great so far!

No issue here. Phone/Dialer work great. If I hit End Call before the screen says "connected" there is a little hang but no "lock up". Hitting the soft end key again works as does hitting the hard end key.
EDIT: OK just made and quickly ended ten calls via the soft end key and NO ISSUE at all. Cant even reproduce the little hang I saw a few minutes ago.

which version/dialer are you using? the tachi dialer does this occasionally.
I have pretty much given up on the rhodium manila ports due to these random bugs but I LOVE the old manila version of this rom. very smooth and really almost perfect. 6.5 is finally almost as smooth as 6.1 but not quite as fast yet. just a couple more builds and they should have it down.

My end key works PERFECTLY!
Tap the end key on the screen and it hangs up the call.
No pause, no lock up, no hesitation or freezing.
It just ends the call and does what it is suppose to do.

That's frustrating. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. All I know is I regularly click a contact in the history which accidentally initiates a call. In the ensuing panic, I click 'end call' - and the call continues for 45 seconds... "Hello? Hello?" as I yank the battery out... or pretend I meant to call them.

Tried flashing 3x tonight, all three have the same result.

Isn't the dialer what comes with the ROM? I just use all the defaults.

Do you by chance have S2U2 or another app installed that can effect the dialing options?
Contact management software or any other screen locking app?

Anyone of those apps can affect the dialer in adverse ways.
If you do have S2U2 installed, disable the phone options in it's settings.
If there is any other app installed check it for dialer settings as it sounds like you may have something else that may be trying to control the dialer.
