So it could have something to do with the MMS/SMS integration.

I am with sprint btw. I use the classic non threaded view to my messages.

idk alot of about MMS cause i rarely use it, but i do know when you're installing it Threaded has to be turned on...so maybe if its not on you get this problem?

I ran into a strange issue with texts when I flashed 8/6, I think. For me, all of my outbound texts were displayed in the classic view only [assuming they were sent from the classic view] and the only thing I could see in the new view were incoming texts. If I sent a text from the new view, those messages seemed to "disappear".

I ended up hard resetting, which seemed to clear the issue up immediately. I've been running 8/11 since it came out without any major problems.

You might consider a hard reset or a reflash. If it seems like Picture Mail is the problem...run the "remove picture mail" cab, soft reset, run the "install picture mail" cab again, and soft reset. If you don't soft reset in between the install of each cab it could act screwy.

Also make sure the threaded view is enabled, as suggested previously.

I currently have the August 6th 2009 version with the new manilla installed

So.... the weirdest thing happened to me... restarted my phone yesterday it turns on and the windows mobile black theme doesn't load, all the backgrounds are grey, When I tap on the start menu it wont open now, so I figured ok let me run total commander and reflash.. so in touch flo I slide to the programs tab and tapped total commander and it wont open, tried opening all the other programs too and none of them will run they all say "error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename" so now I can't reflash... I have a mac so I cant flash roms via activesync so what now? I already tried a hard reset via shutxp no luck.. my phone is barely working

i ran the removal cab as suggested. soft reset. reinstalled the arcsoft cab. soft reset. sent the phone a couple of test msgs. soft reset a few times.

seems like the test msgs are still there, so i think it might be fixed but wont know for sure until later today.

the hardspl was just relased for the touchpro 2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550131) , my guess is NRG will be busy with that rom, so we probably will be waiting for a bit now before a new release.

It's not a multiple notification icon and I did try clicking on it to see what is says but nothing shows up on the notifications screen. It looks like a cloud of smoke. Anyone?

Phone answering problem is due to use of Advanced Config. Check the following registry and ensure that the GPRS is changed to #777.

HKLM > Comm > ConnMgr > Planner > Settings > SuspendResume

Have you tried to hard reset using the hardware keys? Shutxp only shows an option for soft resetting. My guess, and it's a wild one, is that the theme you installed may have caused the conflict since the 8/6 build uses 2.1 and old mods will not work in 2.1, but I'm not really familiar with that theme. Anyway...I would try to hard reset using the hardware keys. Google search hard reset and touch pro and you should find a few sites with detailed instructions and pictures to help.

I noticed this icon when I had poor service, I think it's something to do with that.

Is it a roaming icon? ...could you post a pic? It sound slike either a multi-notification icon or roaming.
