Huh I didnt even know this was an issue. I never even use contacts tab in the phone. I just use smart dialing.
For ****s and giggles I figured I try my dialer and what do you know it works fine.
Im not even sure where I got it. Maybe an older Calkulin kitchen.

Anyway here it is.

If anybody has problems. I can get more into detail with what I have built into my roms. But it works fine on my rom from JD's 5/5 kitchen.

Happened to me when I cooked with the QuickGPS from the Twin. When I used the original one it worked fine.

and also when i use IE6 when i press & hold over flash content to make it full screen it just freezes & i have to change orientation to take down the menu & the only way i have got it to work is by disabling the htc menus...i dont think its a rom problem cuz it was like this before but maybe u can look into it

I was able to get quickgps to work, and I did use the twin. Just tried quickgps, which took a few seconds to download. Then opened up live search, and it took about 2 seconds to find my position. I don't know what happened with yours.

Yeah, that really isn't an issue, the scrolling down messing up. I use spb ms for call logs. Only complaint is that when you get a call, a blank windows mobile dialer incoming call screen flashes a couple times, but it eventually goes away. However, I think that is a known issue.

Other than that, your OEM worked great. It even enables the windows mobile classic lock screen (the default is the one that causes problems). I think yours works because it already includes the right phcanOverbmp.dll. Thanks!

I don't really understand that reasoning. The phone canvas (non s2a) has the exact same problems as s2a. Scrolling through call logs is still blurry and it doesn't work with the wm 6.5 lock screen default. Either way, the oem reeg posted worked, and I'm happy.

Although I've been flashing like crazy trying to get this dialer to work and haven't gotten to test it very much, it seems the rom I made from you kitchen is rather stable in fast. A lot of the standard tweaks (batter, sms 160, etc) are already included. Thanks and I think we all look forward to future releases.

Re: "JD's Revenge" G53.0 ROM and Easy Ask Kitchen

I never use the new lock screen. Its kinda a pain in the ***. U still have to go through like 3 steps to lock the phone versus s2u2 just hit the power button and done.

s2a dialer and s2u2 couldnt make me happier. I used to use the slide to answer from s2u2 but the s2a dialer looks so much cleaner. I kinda wish AC would make a really clean s2u2 that only has the lock screen..not the weather, multiple clock etc. etc.

The flashing dialer you are talking about I get that from time to time too but I havent been able to pin point the problem. It only happens on some of the roms I cook up.
Like the one I have now doesnt do it.

Re: "JD's Revenge" G53.0 ROM and Easy Ask Kitchen

Battery life question: So, I don't know if there is something different in the G53 Kitchen or in the radio (I went from the 1.03 shipped radio, to the 1.07 recommended for this kitchen) and now my battery life drains much faster using the phone in exactly the same way. I use to be able to go all day and night on one charge, I would barely make it to the end of the night, but I would make it, now I make it to about 7pm and then phone is on its last battery legs. My usage patterns haven't changed, so I can only assume something in the kitchen/ROM is using more battery, or the new radio stack is a battery hog. Would folks recommend trying the 1.11 battery (I use Sprint), going back to 1.03, or checking something else? (And yes, my battery poll interval is set at 20000.)
Thanks for any help.
