Re: [ ROM ] [ KITCHEN ] JUICY 8 - Build 090627 (21820.5.0.40) [UC]

My thoughts are that people should learn how to make each rom that the cooks release to suit them. It is far evident that these people who are complaining about things not working the way they would like have not even taken the effort to research nor learn how these things work. With the exception of bugs I can make each rom no matter the cook to my liking just by installing the right cabs or running the right uc file I have created. Rather than complain about minor things like backgrounds and whatnot these people should spend their energy to learn how to install the right cabs, by all means most of them could not cook their own roms. I used to cook my own roms but found it much easier and a better way to stay up to date on the latest developments by modifying the cooks roms with cabs and settings to best suit me. Rather than complain about the work the cooks do please try and figure out what you like and how to fix it yourself and leave the cooks alone with trivial things like backgrounds and bugs that are in other software packages that are still under developmental themselves like TF3D2. Juicy has done things to it which has made it better but thats not his main thing. But then again most people complaining dont know about the developments that are being worked on as they have not researched.

Also Great Job Juicy, and all the other cooks I have tried just about everybody's stuff

I come with more bugs:

BUG: Roam Guard is stuck on.

Doesn't matter how you turn it off, via Phone settings, or checking "Do not ask me again" when it pops up, it won't turn off. Annoying for me because I live in a very sparse service area (for any carrier) so I switch in and out of roaming a lot. Whenever it switches to roaming, the phone turns on and it asks me "Do you want to roam? You may incur extra charges!"

I won't incur extra charges, and I don't want it to ask me over and over again. This is a new bug with the latest build.

Also, lockups while booting with S2U2 2.01 enabled... but that may be 2.01 related... I have noticed a lot of problems with it so I'm back to the WM 6.5 lock.

Re: [ ROM ] [ KITCHEN ] JUICY 8 - Build 090627 (21820.5.0.40) [UC]

I need some help - I'm not sure if this is a ROM issue or a phone issue - when I boot the phone there's a purple line that runs down the left hand portion of the phone and when TF3D loads there's some display issues, more purple.

When viewing pictures there are greenish lines that show up all over the pictures...this just started happening. Can someone tell me how to post screenshots of my phone, and that might help ID the problem. I can reflash if need be - but I'd rather know if my screen is jacked up, or if this is just a ROM issue.

Thanks.

Re: [ ROM ] [ KITCHEN ] JUICY 8 - Build 090627 (21820.5.0.40) [UC]

So I just upgraded from the first version that had Rhodium, and I'm wondering about some changes and if they can be changed back somehow, because I've looked in the options and found nothing yet so far.

1. When typing a symbol, I don't want to be asked to confirm it and if I bypass the confirmation, it won't type the symbol, just a space. Is there anyway to get rid of the horrible symbol confirmation when typing?

2. When I'm currently in a SMS thread, it no longer gives notification when a new SMS is received. I can understand why it would do this, because you are already on the screen, but a lot of times I'll leave my phone on this screen, but not look at it and go do other things. Is there anyway to get audio notifications turned back on when in an SMS thread?

Thank you.
