21198 has been updated right??? Net3.5 and Office? Thanks.

I'm not sure it has. I saw an office folder, but couldn't find the netcf.exe in the window folder. I might have missed it but I didn't see it. BTW...I was using the ROM, not just the plain OS.

After looking at the ROM, there are a couple of problems.
1) The SD card is called "INTERNAL STORAGE". I had to apply the cab fix so I could see my SD card to even restore back to 21042+TP2.
2) The QuickGPS app didn't work. HTCGPStool did work and I was able to get fixes.

It seemed speedy, but again, there wasn't much loaded in the ROM.

The START menu is similar to the new Rhodium Start menu that people dislike. i much prefer the standard technique.

On the Today Screen, I prefer the bottom slider like we have in TP and TP2. I could probably use the TP2 cabs to change back to my favorites, but decided to wait till later to try it - when I don't have so many "hot fixes" to apply. If it had the honeycomb screen, I might have tried it.

21042 + TP2 works great for me. Think I'll stick with that until I know a little more about WM6.5

Just a review on the 6.5 ROM.

Snappy, yet bare. The real only GREAT thing about this rom is the Today screen. It's stylish and informative, but I know i've had roms that are snappier. I think I will be going back to juicy's TP2, but I really like where 6.5 is going for an everyday user. It's going to be a good OS. Nice work on the ROM, no real issues, just not for me:)

Thanks Scott

A couple issues I've noticed after cooking 21042.

1) Opera works great, but IE6beta will not load any page. It's like it can't see the network, but never gives an error.
2) Cosmetically, the network says it's "Sprint". I've actually had a case where it shows both Sprint and Verizon. I may go back to just using the Verizon only carrier, rather thenthe Generic.
3) I have a couple apps installed like Update PRL and Update Profile. Are these Sprint apps? Are they supposed to be there? If I run one by accident is it going to screw something else up?
4) Diamond TF3D Tweak utility does not work.
5) I need to disable the startup sound. I have tried Advanced Configuration Utility but with it set to disabled, it still sounds off. Phone reboots for backup each night twice. I don't wanna' get woke up by this.

Anybody have any fixes. I've read through the last few days posts and didn't see these mentioned. If they have been, I apologize.

Great work Scott. ROM is fast!

You have to know HOW to play, and then can have a ball using it. You do realize however, that if you get to enjoy this toooooooooo much, your TP will go in a drawer and you may only Flash when the neighbors complain about all the "racket from next door". They'll think you have a teen-age rock band in your house.....Try to use headphones, not speakers.

Bob

I bet you can imagine from my lack of posting, that this thing has been eating up a lot of time. I should have specified, I know all the basic chords, but couldn't ever get them to sound like a song. I have found that by dumping MP3's into this thing, I can slow down the music enough to hear what is actually going on with the guitar parts. I've made a huge leap in ability in the last 2 days. I'm thinking that I should drive down to the music store, and kick the livin' **** out of the guy who gave me lessons. I paid the same amount for this as I did lessons, and nothing ever clicked there! Seriously, I want to go slap the taste out of his mouth.

as far as "Can't stand the heat", I love that post Bob. I'm pretty sure you know I respected you before that post, but it went up a notch.

Unfortunately with the fine control that I need over all the files that would not be a great idea at this time.

Now if somone were to screen shot the apps or something like that and complie them all into a list with hyperlinks and uploaded it to thread I would post it to the site.

Thanks for the offer of help. I appreciate it but this I have to handle alone.

As far as waking up on the wrong side of the bed... Um... no. I was simply pointing out why I dont like to include Manila beta's and ports. They are a nightmare unless supported properly and I cannot do that. If you guys want to support it thats fine with me. I really dont mind. Just makes the thread grow bigger is all.

If someone can give me a good consolidated link I will add it to the main post for issues with TP2 Manila. I will also link back to the authors site at that time as well.

Just like the flashing documentation I made for you? I will take the time and do this, but It damn sure better be on your site when its finished.

How about this idea, I take a screenshot of each different buildOS (noting the differences) do a nice workup of what each program is on the actual screenshot, name it BuildOS 21042.jpg and hand it off when completed. You know that documentation takes as long or longer that development does. I guess thats a "shortcut" without having to maintain a ton of links. I'll put one link on it http://www.google.com

My theory on the links is this, If you commit to providing all information to your user base, then the select few will not do their own research, and bombard the thread with questions... SOUND FAMILIAR?

I finally flashed to a non-stock ROM with this one build 21198. I like it so far, but there is an issue I was wondering if there is a fix for possibly.

I change the default input method to the PHONE KEYPAD, but after a soft reset it defaults back to FULL QWERTY KEYBOARD....

Other than that I am liking this ROM....

I have found one bug with the 6.5 ROM.

I cooked gAlarm 1.5.1 (from the kitchen). I set an alarm for this morning @ 5:00am and when the alarm fired, it vibrated but did not play any of the audio files that were set. It also froze up and required a soft reset.

I am going to try 1.4 and see what happens.

I tried a cooked in version of Klaxon and all was well but I like gAlarm more.
