If you do decide to remove then please dont complain about the two missing icons that look like blank Windows in the control panel in there place ;c( That was the issue I had. Then when you go and install them again you will have two icons. THink back to 1.5. Thats why I went this route. But its not hurting anything other than the two PRL icons.

Im thinking about re-basing off from the Alltel ROM so it would exclude that next time. But for now this is fine, well to me anyways.

If you also decide to delete those you need to find the hidden proxml that places them there. I am not sure which one it is but its something like inititflashfiles.dat. Note that its .dat and not .txt like normal.

Correction: Its NOT in the initflash.dat. I thought it was. I will keep looking.... I KNOW it can be taken out. I did it once.... Hold on....

I cant find it but I know its in there somewhere. I searched and searched and searched and could not find it then found it one day when I wasnt looking for it.

Screw it... Alltell, here I come!

Scott, you are are a gentleman, scholar, and definitely OCD! But I am too, as this thread reveals.

No worries on the icons now, you have bigger fish to fry I'm sure; me just pointing out stuff I'm OCD about.

AFA the charging lock, I'll have to see over a few days what happens as battery life is excellent so far (at least that works!) and I will followup then. It may have been a spurious instance, but I've not had it happen before, so it raises a flag for me.

Otherwise, ROM/Build is solid. I do miss SLA Black version OEM, which I can port from 1.5 or cab install: curious as to why you left it out this time?

Hey Scott, Bob, Impudent....

How would you say the stability is of the 21198 (6.5) rom is? O currently am very happy with the 21109 kitchen I built. Its smooth and stable. If used the 21198 build in the kitchen would there be much of a differnece bedies preferences if I flashed the complete ROM of it?

edit - Scott, I think there is a problem with the 21189 download link....i get a winrar unexpected archive end error

I change the default input method to the PHONE KEYPAD, but after a soft reset it defaults back to FULL QWERTY KEYBOARD....

Other than that I am liking this ROM....

BUMP - just didn't want this to be buried by a few pages of posts before somebody got a chance to see and possible have an answer.....

Well, I wasn't impressed with it. However, I didn't keep it long enough to wring it out or even load a bunch of stuff onto it. Using Scott's ROM, it was pretty zippy, but there wasn't much loaded to bog it down, especially TF3D. There were a number of things i didn't like (that other people did) and I didn't know if adding TP2 I could revert to my preferred views, and it's a task to get TP2 loaded so if I wasn't going to keep it, why expend the effort. About the only thing I can say is that on the Today Screen, both soft keys were labeled "contacts).

Bob
Edit: Your download problem....try it again...I know I have a problem usually when I am trying to find the folder I want to store it in, then create a sub-folder....I almost never get a complete download....However, if I go right back and save it immediately it always works. (This is not about Scott's site, but an suggestion in general)

I remember Scott saying there was one OS that didn't have the pagepool unlocked. It might be this one.
