Bob, I kept the sdconfig.txt.normal and edited a new sdconfig.txt for the internal mem issue just for testing purposes. I plan on keeping them both readily available. Scott will have the internal memory issue resolved pretty quickly tonight.

I think you mis-interpreted what you read. He is going to fix the known bugs. He then followed up with a description of what the other apps were as per Oldman's request.

Here is what I have seen so far.

Calendar app does nothing other than show you what day a specific date falls on. It does not launch the calendar for new appointments. Is this all it is supposed to do?

I love that we don't have to reboot everytime we change the order of tabs or add/remove tabs.

I don't like that we cannot remove the programs tab in TF but whatever!

I like the weather setup. its great to see today's weather and also have the 5 day at a glance below today's.

Missing the no curtains that was set up in the last R4R manila but another whatever.

Hated that the START for TF resided as a killable program in the task manager but that has been corrected by adding it to the managed list.

When TF launches, the black KB pops up and has to be hidden.

The TP2 notifiaction setup is nice and i am glad to see it but I am still not able to have it launch the program I am being notified about. Get an email, see it in the notification screen and tap it, the KB pops up and the wait circle starts spinning but it takes me back to whatever I was doing (playing a game or viewing PPC geeks in opera).

Exchange OTA sync is working well.

Having the storage card called internal storage is wierd but whatever.

BTW this is all with XBOXMODs HD manila.

With TF3D running, I am getting 40.57 free on reset and without it running I am seeing 51.71 free.

I love the black KB on this setup and love the direction this ROM is taking us.

This is a preview. I didint want to release it yet so ic alled it beta. a couple loose ends to tie up in the ktichen... No biggies... Need to figure out where I hosed the storage drivers.

Overall I think its solid but not as fast as I thought 21028 would be. I may do the same ROM on another set of SYS files for comparitive measure.

Hope to have another beta late tonight. I want to try a couple other things..... Add back in the dialers, add in SMS for all carriers via cabing it in... etc....

Thanks for the Beta. I appreciate your work. I was hoping to try something out soon.
Everything seems to be working the way it should. I have not had any problems and GPS works quickly.
The only thing that I noticed with manila is the weather DB was not the complete one I am used to but downloaded this cab to fix.

Also the reminder notification still has the repeat option checked and greyed out. I attached the reg file to fix.

I have this but wasnt ready to put it in yet. I am still contemplating on wether or not I want to break manila down to the core like the other chefs do. The problem with doing that is it takes the "simple" out of Scotts Simple Kitchen. You see the delimina. I want to keep the kitchen as simple as possible but yet produce fast work.

Anyone have any thoughts on breaking manila down to the core like the other chefs?

I don't think that you need to break down manilla. That cab fixes the weather for those who need more cities. IMO manila in other kitchens once broken down seem to make errors quite often of duplicate files, etc. I am happy to be able to simply choose which manila and cook away. Once the TP2 manila is released things will go that direction anyway.

I think that leaving it as is works well. For most users, they are either going to use it, or not. Advanced users who want to tweak it should have the knowledge to go to the registry for changes, or are familiar with PPC Geeks, or XDA and can import whatever changes they personally want. For the masses though, I think it's either the "whole package"or nothing....depending on their tastes.

I have a thought. There is a reason you have a large following of new users. SSK or as I prefer KISS (keep it simple stupid). If it becomes more complex, you are going to have 1 of 2 things arise:

1: new people will destroy what personal life you have with questions that may seem generic to people who have been doing this for 2 months.

2: You and your helpful followers will become extremely hesitant to help those with "lesser experience" due to the complexity.
