Good info!

I think its the app and its interface with the new Sensor SDK I put in, G-Alarm,. Klaxon, etc... The older ROM's were ver 2.x and the new SDK is 3.x sinve version 1.5.... All sensor apps I had didint work right and thats because of the new SDK. We need updated APPS and OEM's (All theory but seems logical).

We went through all this in the last post? Maybe about 50 to 100 pages back? I forget.

To be honest i hate alarms on phones one time i slammed the top thinking i was hitting the snooze button. My treo hated me that day. i notice that about you scott everything has to be perfect. But in life nothing is perfect, you can hit 99 percent but never 100. I leave that to my supermodel God Bar Refaeli. mmmmmm. sorry

About the freezing overnight problem, try disabling the "today timeout" setting... go to Settings>Today>Items and make sure that Today timeout is unchecked. I had similar issues a few weeks ago, and this seemed to fix the problem. By the way, I am running 21015 with rev c2 and everything is awesome!!!

Probably a dumb question, but here goes. (Please forgive the noob!)

First, I LOVE your ROM's. I know there are a lot of them out there, and from what I hear they all run well for whatever someone wants to do.

My question is how do you add software to the kitchen/ROM. I've done several searches trying to figure this out and I've had trouble understanding where/how to do this.

1) I have the newest googlemaps OEM, and Opera OEM, and want to put them as an option to include in the Kitchen.

2) How do you create an OEM version of the software from a CAB? Like the S2U2 1.5 that came out is in CAB right now. How do you get this in OEM form?

Maybe this is a lot more complicated then what I think.

Its not hard..... Somoene needs to dig up a link to our previsou discussions.

I have the latest Opera in the kitchen....

You can just drop what you ahve in the OEM folder.

If you need to make OEM's from the CAB's, which I dont recomend, then you need to use OEM'izer.


You do realize that the ROM and kitchens are UC, right? You dont need alot of OEM's any more. Thats way old school.

Are you opposed to UC (user customization)? That is where I do all my work outside the kitchen. If you want further information, just let me know, I'd be exited to pass on knowledge.

I took a combination of everything you fed me, compiled it with my notes in simplest form. I'm hoping he can build his own sdconfig without even reading slueths thread.

This will be a decent measure of how well I/we give instruction.

One more question! =)

I downloaded the red phone highlights CAB. I want to make my own Orange highlights pack. I can go through and change all the red pics to orange no problem, but not sure what to do with the XML file or the REDPHO~1.000 file to get it to work properly without messing things up.

I figure I'd do a search in the XML for Red and change it to Orange, if it's that easy, and change REDPHO~1.000 TO ORAPHO~1.000. Then, how do I edit the last file? Notepad doesn't read it properly.

You should get yourself a better editor... i personally like PSPad for a good free one.

But honestly, that question may be a little outside the scope of this thread.... probably better suited to one of the theme customizing threads.

I just unlocked my Verizon touch pro and installed CE OS 21015 "B2B" Bonus ROM for Verizon. I wouldn't mind just using what my phone shipped with but optimized but so many to choose from it can be confusing...

First let me say the improvement in speed is just amazing...

I'm trying to get my GPS to work but it never seems to find any satellites. I ran the Quick GPS tool and was able to update. I set the phone setting to location on instead of 911 only. I ran the GPS Tool set it to chip type q7500 and opened port. It spews lots of data but never shows any satelites.

Any ideas what I can try?

The ROM I used does include the GPS fix right?

Hi everybody,

I've been keeping up with this post from the start, wow over 2,000 posts. I don't even have my Touch Pro yet. My NE2 comes up on Wednesday. I just wanted to drop a note to say hi and thank everybody for all there work and getting me SO excited about this phone. I work full-time and go to school full-time. I'm thinking I may have to quit both just so I can play with my new phone. I've been a Palm fanatic since they came out and have a Palm T|X now. I'm a little worried about the switch, but mostly because of screen size. I don't know if I'll quite be ready to ditch the Palm yet, but I'm ecstatic about having a new toy to play with.

Your looking at it from the wrong persepctive.

If the file is encoded then your tool is not working. they are all JPG files. You cannot use standard archive programs on CAB files. YOU MUST use something like WinCE Cab mgr. UNLESS you know what youa re doing.... SO go download the trial of WinCE Cab MGR.


From there there NO, NONE, ZERO, reg edits in the cab. The files are just graphics, extract them and modify them then re-cab them.

Thats what you want to do. There is NOTHING in the registry that controls these colors.
