btw, do you recommend setting some of those registry hacks on cache settings? or are they fine-tuned already.

I'm running the same set and didn't have any issue with the WM calculator. I didn't change the PP. I left it at the default value. (Not sure whether it was 6 or 9 MB)

Scott, input on the B2B.

I use activesync from my work server behind a firewall. As a consequence I had to put in an additional password.

Entering the additional password and using S2U2 seemed to confuse the dialer. The main reason I have a cell phone is to have a cell phone and the secondary reason is to have a cell phone. Not a lot of calls but must connects when they come in. It was really a crap shoot rather I would be able to answer incoming calls.

Also, the curtain for S2U2 was likewise difficult to use.

As always I went back to a stripped down version of the 20764. I don't know why I bother to jack with others. The 20764 is fast and works flawlessly.

Again, thanks for all your efforts.

Copied the OEM folder for S2U2 into my kitchen, replacing the previous version and re-flashed. The S2U2 works, but the configuration program does nothing. I still don't know how to keep the screen turned off when hanginup with my bluetooth headset.

Any ideas?

I'm not going back to look it up, because that post may have been deleted, but I know for fact that Scott recommends 9-10 PP for the Verizon version.

Scott is also not going to be around for a bit, he is taking off on vacation. Kiwi, you'll might be hard pressed to get any answers from him for a minute.

I'm running 20594 and its working flawlessly, but I don't know if its as fast as 21015. I didn't run that one long enough.

Ben, did you cook your own rom (go through the buildOS part) or did you use Scott's pre-cooked version? I along with quite a few other people had difficulties with s2u2 and the curtains. If you need help on doing your own cooking, I would be happy to help. Hit me up with a PM if you need it.

S2U2 came out with a new update 1.50d after Scott created the original kitchen. I think that Scott may have put the most recent version on his site, or in Post #4. You'd have to check the main S2U2 to see what the update actually fixes.

I need to ask someone to do me a favor...

Before I installed the B2B ROM, I could use Opera to go to Shoutcast.com , click on a music link, and listen using Pocket Music Player 5.1 .

Since I have installed B2B ROM, it's like I am clicking directly on a banner ad, regardless of where I click on the screen. It opens a 2nd "tab".

Can someone who is running B2B test this , and someone who isn't running B2B test as well?

I'm just curious if it's something in the build of Opera that is in the B2B ROM or not.

Thanks!

I've been flashing so much that I can't get any legitimate testing done. I have been planning on installing 1.50d, but I want to give my phone some runtime before I go messing with it for a minute. I made sure to leave 1.44? out the last time I cooked (22 hours ago).

do you think pagepool size is linked to the certificate error? i'm wondering if it's b/c i unchecked some stuff when i was cooking the rom that caused issues... anyway, this is all just a minor annoyance and i'm sure it'll just go away in the next flash--as any msft product would behave. heh.

honestly I think the page pool has nothing to do with it. You are probably right, its somewhere in your selections. I'd flash back to 21015 just to see for myself, but I want to give 20954 some burn for a bit.

I don't really play with it. The only time I ever see it is when I plug it in for charging. I get about 1 call a week (and that's a busy week), so I don't get to use that feature either. So I don't really see any problems. About the only problem I have is that when the screen turns off, it seems to go to a deep gray, not off. Haven't even worried about trouble shooting that.

I have never really had any problems with S2U2 until I flashed the B2B rom last night. Now S2U2 has been giving me all sorts of fits lagging and the popping up randomly and because it is cooked into the ROM you cant remove it to install 1.50 :(

I was using 1.50 with Mightys ROM yesterday and didnt have any problems.

That's accurate, but I think it might be misleading. And I don't even know exactly how it all works out myself.

The Touch Pro has memory built into its CPU and also on the mainboard. The Verizon one has 64MB on chip and 128MB on the mainboard. The others have 32MB on chip and 256MB on the mainboard.

What I have noticed is differing 'Total Memory' counts on screenshots of the About screens. This number is affected by the PagePool and maybe some other stuff. I have seen differences of over 100MB on these screens...which shouldn't be the case as other TPs would generally run larger pagepools, so the different should always be smaller than 96MB.

I'm not really sure what that means, but it seems to me that we are gimped more than 96MB.

Just my observations, take them for what they're worth.

Yeah the diamond really is nice. I was tired of the pro. Just wanted a new toy and a new area to dev ROM's.

I also will not do the porting.... I like the safety net as you described. These damn things are expensive....

I did get a DEAL(?) on my diamond... I think.... We got two phones the diamond and my wife got a treo 800w. All together after tax is was a just over $400. My phone in store was 200 and hers was 150. I tried to get her to get a diamond but she wants the keyboard. She wont even think of a pro. I tried. Atleast she is finally WinMo Pro instead of standard!

I cooked in S2U2 with the 21109 rom and had the same problems random pop ups and lockups, alarm not working and gps failure and random soft resets. I installed 1.50 and still had the same problems. I now have 1.50d and will give that a try and see what happens. Did a hard reset and seemed to fix the lockups and gps problems but S2U2 still wouldn't play well with others.
