Just loaded 21015 from the B kitchen and noticed the "Camera" option is now replaced with "My applications" on the Today screen (using touchflo). Is there a way to change this back through the phone settings? Previously I had SSK 1.2 loaded.

Hey John,

Did you every try a "Clear Storage" it should reset all your EPST settings to stock.

Also, something i have noticed over time watching things here is that some people start to get some really weird schtuff... to the point that reflashing a lower version doesnt even help... but waht does seem to help, is doing a "Clear Storage" then flashing back to the "stock" Verizon ROM.... then back to custom kitchen flashing business as normal.


I cant really say why that seems to work... but i have heard from people on several occasions that it does.

Maybe worth a shot?

If you are using a ROM, simply use the "PagePool_Changer.exe" tool in the extracted directory that your ROM is also in... if you are using the kitchen, you have no choice but to run into this tool face to face during the cooking process.

How do you change PoolSize after yer done flashing? is it even worth it? or do I just sashimi again after reflashing?

*You know you flash too much if you can't wait for UC to finish*

you can use one of the tweak apps... or you can go to:

HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila

Most of your post i'm sorry to say, but i really dont understand what you are saying... can you please try to explain what you mean about the weather tab a bit better?

as to the GPS issue... have you applied the lllboredlll gps fix yet? (see my sig for link) can you lock sats with any other app, GMM - Live Search?

Dont know if its just me or not, but I loaded the 6.5 beta on mine and couldnt open any kind of messages or create new ones.

The 6.5 builds are BETA. And I believe there is an SMS bug where you can receive texts but not send. Also, the camera is not functional and if you lock your device you have to soft reset.

Thats what i remember off hand? Anyone else?

well what i'm trying to say is when i tap on weather icon on the bottom...instead of update the weather...it activate TF3D and then it goes back to home page.

regarding the gps fix...does it work with Telus carrier?

What weather Icon are you talking about? The one in TF3D? If that's the case, what do you mean by it 'activates' TF3D...it is already running. Are you saying it starts the load the weather tab in TF3D but then goes back to the home tab?

Or did you add a different weather function through a today plugin or soft button?

And no, the GPS fix is only for Verizon. I thought that VZW was the only one with a locked GPS anyway?

BINGO, the latest 6.5 beta has the known messaging bug. thefiverivers pointed you to the right place.

It was the first 6.5 beta that had the lock & camera issues... but it wasnt a soft reset, it was a hard reset.

good call on the GPS kazi, i totally missed the telus carrier the first time...

I'm still missing what he is trying to explain about the weather tab...
so i'm taking a wild guess here... but maybe what he is trying to explain is that when he hits the weather tab... TF3D is crashing, and he is seeing it restart, that is why he ends up on the home screen again????

i dont know, just guessing here... v2b, could you please be more articulate in your problem description?

yes, the weather tab in TF3D. whenever i go to weather update, choose my city...it shown updating and then TF3D pops up initiating and the goes back to home screen...it will never update weather. When i scroll back to weather icon it ask me again to "add new city".

That's strange...what version of Manilla did you install? Did you cook with the kitchen or was it one of the ROMs? Also did you hard reset after flashing?

I experienced something similar to that when I was messing with a version of Manila ported from the Touch HD...but I don't think any of Scott's are based off that.

How can you update weather if it's asking you to add a new city?

OK... anyway... let's get some more info here... what ROM/Kitchen/SYS are you using? what version of Manila (TF3D)?

Loving build 20931. Don't see much difference between 1.5 and 1.5 c2, but its still great. I'll try a few more builds tommorow.
Scott, my only request is the splashscreen from 1.2. I loved that one!!

It was a black background with multi colered diagonal lines going across it. I thought it was HOT!!

Ya I had the lock problem with the first beta, and of course it was 100 miles in an 800 mile trip... I must have accidentaly locked it then it was stuck in the lock loop so I loaded ssk 1.5 back on it, I must have missed the know bugs I didnt see anything in the first posts. I went back to his b2b rom, supurb i have to say!

So, any chance I can get the stock Verizon theme working on the B2B ROM? I like the look of that theme, and I really don't enjoy the squigly Sprint outlines used in the default theme

Edit: Also, what's up with the retarded looking close/OK buttons?

sorry about all the confusion guys. i used SSK version 1.5M Rev B Core Kitchen with CE OS 21109 Build 21109 from Scott's website....follow instruction....flashing was fine and smooth....no error. I didn't add any 3rd party TF3D or programs...just used what's included in the kitchen.

Everytime i'm scrolling to weather tab....i'm able to add city by pressing "menu" softkey...for example Montreal, Canada and then it started launching TF3D exactly like when you turn on your handset and gone back to home screen...i don't know if my explanation is readeable this time
