You may be right... though i noticed when i hit 1000 rep i didnt go to "Halfway" either... that was right around the sites new "Thanks" display thingy....

i wonder if they changed it so rep no longer affects user level?

I am no way near vip and it keeps me from getting laid. When my wife sees the blue background of the forum she rolls her eyes and its off the the TV room. She was nice enough tonight to pick me up some brew. So, Im going to make several black-n-tans and watch some of Brotherhood. Then maybe have some more......:) All while keeping an eye to this thread

Back on track, who's tried the 21015? Versus the 20931 or 20754?

I am mostly concerned about stability at this point...I have some deeper tweaking I want to play with (cleaning out \Windows\ and removing HTC keyboard but keeping SYM key primarily) and I want a good, stable build to start from.

I have used them all. But, I have to say that after 21015 I might not flash for awhile. Well, until a nice stable 6.5 comes out. But, 21015 has been solid since I have loaded it and I have put it through the ringer so far tonight without any problems.

For the 1st time I've got a problem. I flashed the c2 kitchen with the 015 ROM, and now I can't get past the TF3D home screen

I guess I need to flash again

NO, that what I was trying to do....and it just brought up the system functions....same if I hit the bottom slide bar....The Phone On/Off hard keys work (but I didn't test the phone)

Edit : The HTC Animate - I even did a hard reset...same results

The flash went fine, my issues were minor at best.

1. Setting up trackme, the phone locked one time when sliding the keyboard, have not duplicated it since.

2. I can't select multiple emails (mainly for deletion) I saw the same problem in 6.5 when I tried it. I'm pretty sure I could do this in 20931/rev B

Can anyone help me get the shellres.192.dll file from the 6.5 beta rom please? I tried using resco to copy it and it won't work. If someone could post it that would be great or pm me or something. Thanks in advance.

For some reason the auto calibration ingformation didint stick. Maybe something in autorun caused it or certain selection of OEM's. Try removing SD card and hard reset.

To calibrate screen

Slide keyboard open.
Stat icon
ARROW DOWN to settings
Navigate and calibrate screen from there. Easy to do.

Just flashed, looks good so far.

The 3rd post says that this os build supports encryption but I don't see this option in settings. My work exchange server requires this option

AutoRun is probably the problem....I have OCN8 that is designed to install when you insert the card. But even when I clik NO, it still seems like it's trying to run....I'll remove the card. Do I need to flash again, or is the card removal enough

Removing the card seemed to do the trick. But before you came online I switched OS to 193. Now I'm flashing back to 015 with no sd card installed

Edit 2: Why did the other cores work if that's the problem. I've always had the same SD card installed

SCOTT - I saw you mention that you had gone back to the verizon stock radio, that you were getting faster GPS locks with it. I decided to try some back to back tests and consistently found exactly as you claimed... I get GPS locks WAY faster on the Verizon 1.03 or whatever version, I always forget but the stock radio.

I went from getting 4-7 locks in about 30 seconds, to getting 6-10 locks in about 12 seconds! I switched back and forth a couple times and it was very consistent for both. Meanwhile, my signal strength stayed the same, and Bob has already shown battery life is the same.

I encourage everyone on the Sprint radio to do some testing with GPS tool and see if you dont get the same results!




Also, I did try 21015 for most of the day, and honestly I didnt see any speed increase vs. 20954 (20954 has so far been easily the fastest build I've tried, and I've tried all of the 6.1 builds that Scott has made available in his kitchens).

I still feel that 20954 and 20931 are the two best builds, they each have things they do better, but are very close overall. I went back to 20954, didnt feel like spending the time setting up another rom and have good, fully set up backups for 931 and 954.

so far so good. flashed the b2b rom, and got it just the way i like it. need a couple of days before i can say how much faster it is, any pitfalls, etc. i flashed from ssk 1.2 standard, and it seems almost just as fast but maybe its cuz i was spoiled with these great roms.

EDIT : one thing i have noticed is that the boot time is much faster now. very nice!

That auto script didn't stick. Removing my SD card solved the problem. It has not happened on your previous kitchens, how can I prevent it from happening again. I was successful at flashing C2 with the 015 OS. After the flashing was done, I put the SD card back in and everything worked fine.

I do wanna toss my 2¢ in on the radio thing.
I am one that believes that results will vary based on where your geographical location is.

Personally i find the same GPS sat locking results you get on the ZVW radio, with the sprint radio... 9-12 sats, always in less 15 seconds. I feel like i get slightly better reception as well (but i live in an area that is more rural than not, so not a ton of towers around here). and of course you are correct, bob pretty much definitively settled the battery question for us.

My advice on radios would be try them out, see which one works best for you in your area!


PS... i'm leaning towards the same opinion about OS's... think i'll ultimately end up back on 20931.

I dont know about that... i like having all the past info and knowledge gained at the ready! I hate having to try to find it once it goes to archive!! hate hate hate it!

But what might be helpful, and i have seen done in tsowens "custom taskbar" thread... the mods can go in and trim the thread down... basically, selective archiving. weed out the non informational, non essential posts in the thread.

That way you still retain your view count (if that matters), but more importantly, the great wealth of info i this thread!



EDIT: Scott, i'm not really sure how that process works... but if you are interested in it and it turns out that you have to personnel go through the thread, and give a list to the mods of the post numbers you want archived... I just wanna say that i would volunteer to do the leg work of that for you if you want.

Possible bug confirmation in 21015...

Someone confirm this bug.

1. Text someone by using the HW Keyboard,
2. Let the TP go off by timing out. My power settings does this in 1 min
3. Try unlocking or waking it up after it is off...

I get stuck, and am forced to reset... I am using pocket shield as well, this maybe causing the problem... tho i am uncertain at this point.

I am only having 1 problem with 015, and it may be my Sprite Backup I restored. I restored a 931 rev b backup, and what it is doing is when I recieve a call, or text there is no contact ID givin, it only displays the phone number like its not a contact on my phone. What do u guys think?

(All my contacts show up as Unknown Caller on incomming call/text)
