Re: CDMA Touch Pro XIPs 20764 20954 21015 21109

I have your XIP for 21015 and got the SYS elsewhere. Using Calkulins kitchen and I am attempting to cook in no2chem's "fast charge" battery.dll but cannot figure out where to put the files as the battery files are not present in the SYS I have. How can I do this?

Not really the best place for this question. I don't know anything about that dll but there should be more than just the DLL - either it replaces a DLL of the same name (and it might be in the OEMDrivers folder in the kitchen), or there is a registry entry that goes along with it that changes a pointer to an existing DLL to the new one.

Re: CDMA Touch Pro XIPs 20764 20954 21015 21109

I flashed my vzw with the 21015, and my memory usage went from 60% at boot to 45% with TF3D loaded.

But for some reason i am unable to ActiveSync via USB and i can't seem to get HTC Weather and Opera to get online. PIE works fine. What the heck is going on??

Assuming you meant usage decreased (i.e. you now have a lot more free memory) it sounds like a lot of other stuff isn't loading at boot - potentially some PROVXMLs didn't run? I'm sitting at 82MB (75%) in use after three days, with only ActiveSync, Gyrator2, QuickGPS and VoiceCommand running in the background.

If you changed nothing else in your kitchen, just the XIP, you are lucky it booted. You have to cook with a SYS with WinCENLS_WWE since I removed that from the XIP, and you ideally should cook with a known good SYS 21015. I'd need more info to give you any other suggestions.

I've been running 21015 XIP with a good 21015 sys for days now with zero problems, not even a soft reset, on a VZW TP so I know it works.

I got the 21015 SYS from else where... (you know where i think) I also have the WinCENLS_WWE folder located in the SYS folder with 2 files insidem the dsm and nls file 268KB.

I'm using ssk1.5B kitchen + 21015 SYS and your XIP, WinCENLS_WWE was copied as stated...

I've also realized that after the reboot I HAVE to manually input my Wireless Data Network settings with #777, is this ALSO normal?

Sorry for being noob, but thanks for your help this XIP is a kick a$$

Sounds like provisioning XMLs aren't being run - one of the PROVXMLs in the operator OEM package (mxipupdate_oemoperators_101.provxml) sets up that connection for you. If you are having to do it manually, something is phucked up. I'm using Scott's OEM pack from the 1.2 kitchen but I've tweaked it a lot since then. No experience with 1.5B.

FWIW, the .DSM files from the source OEM and SYS seem to be required on the device. I'm not sure why - they shouldn't be needed except during building ROMs, but I've noticed that if they are deleted (on purpose) the PROVXMLs won't run after flashing or hard reset and that leaves a lot of things jacked up.

Any other reason to think Autorun isn't running?

Hopefully I've given you some things to try.

P.S. Attached is the output from sysversion.exe on the SYS I am using. Make sure yours is "clean" - i.e. all 21013, 21014 or 21015. OK if WinCENLS_WWE and VoiceCommand are older.

Re: CDMA Touch Pro XIPs 20764 20954 21015 21109

FormerPalmOS, wow, 21015 is the fastest ever! It took me a while to get this base and using Calkulins kitchen deployed properly but got it t o work. I am using the 21109 sys. Everything works just fine, and my TP is smokin' Anyone who wants a working kitchen for the 21015 XIP I will upload my modified Calkulins one for you. Last thing I noticed is unless I installed FInixNOver 1%, I would get a battery.xml on customizations and it would hang. If I use FInixNOver 1% oem I have no problems at all.

Cheers,

Mikee

20954 is Nice!

FPOS,
Nice job on the 20954 XIP. This works great! I have it up on my site now as well. Gonna buiuld a ROM soon to commemorate my 7th SYS pack being added to my kitchen. Now when you gonna send me those other files to make it 8 ;c)_

The 20xxx are the best series.... I think I have a new favorite again, 20954 ;c)
