Re: New XIP for 21109 sys with working encryption (ver 2 25-Jan-2009)
Of course you can make selectable bases. That's what PPCkitchen and new bepe do. No reason you can't hard code something similar into old bepe, if you really want to. What will suck, however, is maintaining it.

Anyway, glad to hear it's working - and let me know if anything seems off for you. I have seen zero issues with 20764 SYS + 20764 XIP but Dimitri has an issue with Resco Update.

Re: New XIP for 21109 sys with working encryption (ver 2 25-Jan-2009)
Oh - forgot to tell you that 2E stock pagepool was 12Mb and 3E is 10Mb. That's the 2Mb you are seeing. I'm not sure what your app load is, but with mine, 10Mb seems to be the sweet spot. I notice a difference between 9 and 10, but not between 10 and 11. If you're still running the stripper ROM, you could shrink to 8 and probably be fine. PP changer app should work fine on 2E (old and new) and 3E.

CDMA Touch Pro XIPs 20764 20954 21109
1st post updated with new XIP - called 4E. This one is 20954 MSXIPKernel. Testing now with 20954 SYS (from Calku). No noticible speed difference. 20954 SYS consumes slightly more memory than 20764 but has some newer features, newer version of Pocket Internet Explorer. No bugs to report yet...

Re: CDMA Touch Pro XIPs 20764 20954 21109
Thx. Thinking of trying a 21014 or 21015 XIP and matching SYS. Some folks claim that release is the fastest. Of course others also say it has some not-supposed-to-be-released WM6.5 code. I ran into trouble before with 21139/21142 breaking some things so want to stay away from WM6.5 until an official CDMA Touch Pro release comes out. Knowing how fast VZW moves, that will be about 2012 or one year after Sprint releases it - whichever comes later.

Re: CDMA Touch Pro XIPs 20764 20954 21109
I'm getting pretty good at turning them quickly. But 21159 - that's WM6.5. My understanding is that WM6.5 breaks the camera, potentially SMS sending, and who knows what else. When it is stable I'll probably jump on it like a senior on his prom date...
