1st post updated with new XIP - called 4E. This one is 20954 MSXIPKernel. Testing now with 20954 SYS (from Calku). No noticible speed difference. 20954 SYS consumes slightly more memory than 20764 but has some newer features, newer version of Pocket Internet Explorer. No bugs to report yet...

Thx. Thinking of trying a 21014 or 21015 XIP and matching SYS. Some folks claim that release is the fastest. Of course others also say it has some not-supposed-to-be-released WM6.5 code. I ran into trouble before with 21139/21142 breaking some things so want to stay away from WM6.5 until an official CDMA Touch Pro release comes out. Knowing how fast VZW moves, that will be about 2012 or one year after Sprint releases it - whichever comes later.

ya if then.... i'd say try it... would like to see 21159 done with your magic

once again ... nice job on these.... looks like your xip's and my phone will be friends for a long long time

I'm getting pretty good at turning them quickly. But 21159 - that's WM6.5. My understanding is that WM6.5 breaks the camera, potentially SMS sending, and who knows what else. When it is stable I'll probably jump on it like a senior on his prom date...

I've got drop in ppck sys 20954, 21014, and 21015 with the cores containing the new matching ported xips for those who want the newer builds using ppc kitchen. Thanks - I found it. XIP 21015 ported, testing now with SYS 21015 (OS has booted - customizations just completed as I type this). BTW the XIP has grown a bit - I had to massage the manifest (.dsm) files a bit to make it fit into my smaller address space. Not much more room for growth - but then again gguruusa warned of this early in the thread so it comes as no surprise.

New XIP for SYS 21015 uploaded. I've tested this - am running with it on my phone as of this morning. Pretty fast - definitely faster than 20954.
