Mike, can you replace the calculator with one that has a percent button? It's more convenient.

I am also having this issue. Same thing, I installed the Alltel MMS cab and get the same warnings. I searched the thread and they all point back to installing the Arcsoft cab, which as mentioned I did. Along with the 160 character.

Any help would be, well, helpful. Like the ROM but this is a deal breaker.

i really cant believe we are back on this gps thing...

I suggested it in the first place i suggested smart. the reason i listed are quite a few post back....no one else imput any thing...and as soon as mike implements it all the sudden everybody is like oh i like this and oh i like that, make it a cab lest not make it cab....

Here is the fact.

It has been proven that if its availaible then people will use it. it it wasnt an option people would use it...

I suggested smart because it simply has a ui and for those that want an email can get it and for those who want a map link can get it.. and it runs in the back ground. if you dont like it dont use it...

nue and smart are both good products...nue does carry an advantage over smar as in the config file doesnt need to be copied back over. if some one hard resets your phone. nue just goes back to defaul and "should still work"

all though...nue does not work on all devices. ie it doesnt work on my friends vzw tp because of the gps problem...smart works fine cause he can define the gps settings.

either way it needs to be cooked into the rom so if some one does hard reset you can recover your phone maybe

I can help you out with that. Once you install the alltel arcsoft cab in post #3, you have to open the messaging app and go to your text messages, then click on menu, then click on pic/video options, then click on servers, then click on Alltel MMSC, then change the "connect via" to "The Internet".

I prefer nueGPSSecurity because, if it's cooked in, it works *immediately* after a hard reset using the default PIN (0000).

SmartPhoneTracker *is* nice, but it would only be good if you were to cook in a default configuration... because it needs to be configured before it will do ANYTHING. Since you're obviously not about to cook in a configuration file with a fixed e-mail address or phone number, the only option is to have it reply to other phone sending an SMS GPS request.

With SmartPhoneTracker + no cooked in config, you are S.O.L. if a thief hard-resets your phone.
