I just flashed to the July 17th MR6 - Update, and the customizations on first start-up don't run properly. For instance, Opera is not installing. There is no shortcut in the start menu, the exe is missing from the windows folder, and links that I click on from email result in an error. I tried reflashing twice already

Thank you Mighty for everthing, this is the first release I had any problem with.

DItto on that - I have had my device 'softreset' on me several times in the last 2 days - it seems it locks up (not doing anything in particular) and I have to take hte battery out to get it to reboot, and then it comes up with the customization page.

Ok i have been searching for almost 2 hours now trying to find an answer to my issue with no luck, my eyes are starting to burn. Im having an issue with my contacts showing as the phone numbers and not the names in the call history and in text messages. Has anybody else had this problem and does anybody know a fix to this.

Thank you Mighty for everthing, this is the first release I had any problem with.

Try reflashing again and then do the commonly advertised "Clear Storage" in Settings | System after that. Failing that, try the solution in this post.

tried with some of the recovery software from Hirens boot cd, seems like when it erased it did a whole format. i cant find a bit of data in there!!!

actually this is the first flash I did directly from stick ROM. so whats the difference? anyhow i am glad it fixed yours tho...

any ideas if we can get the data back from sd card? i never thought it wud actually do that. i have some files and pics taken long for a long time...

Try this one. I haven't had to use it for a while but it worked when I did.

love the rom and the cab mighty suggested for sharing the internet connections through wifi from htc. Just makes my life easier...

I dont know if anyone is having this very small problem, but i thought of bringing it up anyway, when i lock the screen and open the keyboard it switches to landscape mode and it unlocks it! without pressing unlock. That doesnt happen when i have a password, but just wondering if theres any fix for it, or is it just standard.
