Active Directory replication and trashing the Domain Controllers.. I wont explain any more than that.. Too involved.. Gotta play with the Rom LOL

He's replicating Active Directory (listings of computers, users, shares, etc.) across a large number of computers and domain controllers, and if we hammer it too hard it might cause communication problems that could screw up the domain controllers which could really mess up the network.

He's a brave man. I wouldn't have had the guts to throw it up on my servers, although at our LA office we've got a 100Mbps connection that can burst up to 1Gb, so it would be tempting.
