Re: MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com [Windows Phone® 6.5] [Final]
I want to chime in and give random general approval to this rom. I can't say for sure that it runs better than the previous MR6 did when it was fresh but it runs at least as well. No real issues to speak of. Biggest heart breaker was, and is, the lack of RSS reader that finger scrolls properly. I'm not sure why 6.5 broke that because in 6.1 the RSS did not use the HTC touchflo drivers to scroll. It did that terrible 6.1 scrolling where you have to keep your finger on it or it will go to the bottom. I thought 6.5 turned 6.1 scrolling into kinetic. Anyone know what's different about the RSS reader?

Also BTW, I ended up with a refurb from Sprint for my hardware keyboard issue. I am pleased to say that aside from some minor alignment issues (mainly the black cover over the camera lens and LED) this phone is an improvement from my first TP. Even though it's a refurb it works like brand new. And if I am not mistaken, it might not heat up as much as my TP did while in call.

hmmm...not sure what's going on then. i just did a little searchin around and found that some other people are getting the 7004 error too. Some are suggesting that it might be a problem on sprints end. Have you tried several different channels?

How so? I flashed to MR6 final on my new/refurb TP. I composed a new text and the 130 limit was there and counting, and lagging my typing. I didn't try the 160 cab until after that. I will try the fix cab, though I read that it caused problems on someone's phone, like breaking some sms program feature or function.

It's not rocket science. Do a little search on "sms lag fix" and see the first topic that comes up. It explains how to do the fix manually as well, so you can see exactly what it does. It doesn't "break" anything. And as soon as you apply the fix, and soft reset, there is no more lag. Simple as that. Who cares if you just flashed or not, just apply the fix if you're having the problem and be done with it.

Also, as rogue just mentioned, it's a super simple fix. You can install the cab or edit the 2 files yourself. |

There isn't really a 130 v 160 limit. You can type all you want, the carrier will break the messages up where they should be.
Additionally, I'd rather have no counter. Totally lags the SMS-es. |
