Re: [July 18th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com

I'm on MightyRom6 and love it! one question, I can connect to Activesync, look at files and transfer files, but it won't sync contacts and such and it will only connect as a quest? This only happened when I flashed latest rom6?
Any help would be great!!
Thanks

Arcsoft MMS? You direct all users to one version without any hint that Sprint users should use a different one. One size does not fit all. Tie this to the removal tool as well with an explanation for what to do with each carrier.

Your PRL link (Sprint? you don't specify carrier) is a version number designated for mobile broadband devices. You also don't link to any explanation as to what to do with the file.

SMS Count? 160 Character SMS? - no explanation there as to who should install these or why? Hmm.

In general, with only the little crib notes, I can see where some flashing rookie will see this list and think they ALL have to be installed to fix the cabs in the stock MR6. Nothing tells them otherwise - and this info is repeated every few pages.

If you truly want to make a good FAQ, don't be lazy or dismissive. Flesh out the content to include more info. When your answers cause more questions, make your answers more complete.
Yes, your list of harvested links makes sense to you - but then again, you aren't the one who needed this FAQ. Write it for your intended audience and remember that in doing this, you need to spell everything out so as to not lead them to disaster by clicking your links.

Hi there.
After being very FRUSTRATED with the stock rom. I decided, to flash for the first time with MightyROM6 so YES! I am a NOOB! and my HTC Pro has Never worked better. I thank Mighty for his great work! If y'all can't read the fine print and all the Starter Guides which there are many. Perhaps flashing isn't for you and you need to get just a plain phone and a pad of paper. I am sorry. But this takes patience and time. And there are a lot of helpful and knowledgable people that are willing to try to help if you just ask kindly.

he's told people several times, even in the last few pages, that he's working on his TP2 stuff. When he gets that in order, us original TP owners can expect an update.

Re: [July 18th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com

Quick Question: Still using MR5 about to jump to MR6 and I've never bothered changning the pagepool but I wonder if any alltel users have changed the pagepool and if so what do they find to be the best option.

The only complaint I've had with the phone/ROM is I have a significant delay on answering phone. If I wait till the second ring it answers almost everytime. But if I just jump right on the 1st ring it's probably 30%. Wondering if this is due to pagepool. Actually it works on 1st ring for several days after a flash but then it starts as I described. I disabled TF3d and it seems somewhat better. then I added SPB mobile shell since I lost TF3d and it works OK w/o nearly as much ring delay. so I am wondering if it is a memory issue. so would changing the pagepool help, if so, changing it to what?

Thanks

Shawn

I can't promise that it works b/c I am old Alltel now on verizon and mine has always worked. Not sure that V can tell your are tethered vs just surfing the web. I may be wrong but I bet it'll work fine

Re: [July 18th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com

thanks, so you are currently using the ics from the rom itself and are not being charged any extra charges, Great, How long have you been using this, I mean at least a month in order to notice the charges. im just asking because i have sprint touch pro and it works perfectly its just tracked the usage and no charges. But im trying to get it to work on a verizon htc touch pro, the CM Internet app didint work. But hopefully this does, would i have to install anything else for this?
