It seems like the 6.5 rom is chewing my battery like CRAZY! I made a 25min call in the morning, used the calender a few times and by lunch time, 50% gone. sent 10 text messages and took one photo, at 5pm the battery is dead.

Is this normal? I have the phone on and data on. that is it. no blue tooth or anything.

2nd issue, I can not charge the stupid phone while talking on it...
I have found that all 6.5 ROMs seem to chew up the battery noticeably faster than 6.1 ROMs. However, of the ones I've tried, this one lasts quite a bit longer than most. Yours seems to be going faster than it should though, did you hard reset after flashing?

Even with the hard reset after flashing, I find it beneficial to flash to stock occasionally after I've flashed several custom ROMs. One difference that I've definitely noticed between 6.5 and 6.1 is the amount of heat generated while tethering is much greater using 6.5 ROMs.

Retro:

the tethering I am not even going to start on yet. Have not gotten my MacBook Pro to work on that yet (WMWifi).

But yes, the Heat is MUCH higher! just on the 25min phone call it is amazing. I have a phone service that I get 3000mins. I usually just plug it in to my laptop and it will charge while talking on it, now it will not.

I backed up my PIM of contacts and calender, unlocked the phone, loaded 6.5, hard reset (using the phone icon 'clear storage', the hold vol down and center button didn't work), restore the PIM information and soft restart.

I have alltel, and I'm trying to be able to send and receive pics/videos in my text messages while using this ROM

currently I have "Arcsoft Alltel MMS 5.0.69.44.cab" installed, but it's not working, any suggestions?
set your port to 80 and set the "connect via" to "network" see if that works

I just now tested out the charging while talking deal, and you're right, it doesn't. I have never noticed it, because if I'm on the phone for more than 2 minutes, I pace all over the house... so charging isn't an option.

In fact, thinking about it, I've NEVER checked to see if my TP charges while I'm on a phone call, but I can verify that it doesn't on the newest MR6 build.

EDIT: Just tried again, after letting the phone cool down and charged from the outlet instead of USB... it seemed to work. Must be a heat issue that's causing the battery not to charge during prolonged use. Have you tried any of the other TP radios?

well guys it happened to me. my keyboard has died. What's weird, this phone is 5 days old. My keyboard dad on my last TP, so i did a few "exchange by mail" upgrades, and after they didn't work, they decided to send me a new one. Unfortunately, this one has died too. Absolutely no fun....
