I need a working phone, so I'm flashing to Juicy.
please let me know if either you fix this (revert) or if I'm missing something

Looks like going to 6.5 connection icons lost the ability to run the 7 signal strength bar mod that I loved so much on my stock Sprint rom, as well as the previous MR5. And RSS items still don't scroll!! Items still graphically corrupt when scrolling through recent calls in the dialer. So basically, same everything, but newer build of 6.5. Not sure I would have updated had I known that. We'll see if it performs better or has better memory management. That would make it worth it, obviously.

Yea, thats alot of work for already being on a perfect rom to me, only thing that might make me flash is if this is the RTM version.?

I used to do that like an idiot. I got sprite backup and I never have to do that again. Seriously! Look into getting it. It's the best one I've ever used. CHoose level 1 when you go to restore it and it will be like the hard reset never happened.

Heres my app list installed.
garmin xt
csdevctrl (loads 6.5 lock on startup and sleep)
snailslug touch response (vibrate)
arcsoft mms

Thats it, never had issues with these slowing down the device before...

Thanks!
You really should change your page pool size before installing. Turn it down to 8 and nothing will lag... Or experiment and find one that works for you.

Ok I just checked it and on an 8meg page pool my txt is still lagging a little. Nothing that cannot be tollerated. I remember it being much worse at some other point. Either with a larger page pool or on another rom. I really can't complain on that front.

Hope that helps.

cant do that on a new rom right? i mean if I backup with sprite with this build, and flash to another build, sprite wouldnt work would it? I use sprite for if I customize this rom, then if I need to hard reset I run my copy, but will sprite work for the may 8th build to the may 24th build?

Re: [ ROM ] [ CDMA ] [ HERMAN ] [ 05.24.09 ] [ Windows® Build 21234 ] MightyROM5

Hey guys,

I LOVE Mighty ROM, but I can't tell if I'm having an issue with WinMo 6.5 or if it's a phone issue. The issue has become quite regular now. Typically it happens on a Sunday or a Monday, so once a week for me. I'll wake up the phone to see it saying one of the following:

1. Underneath the slider button to unlock the phone, I'll see the word "tapslideslide" or "taptapslide" (I can't remember which, but it's the same every time).

2. A warning window that says "The device will wipe on the next unsuccessful password attempt."

No matter what I do, when I attempt to unlock and enter my password (corporate account), the phone turns off and performs a hard reset, corrupting my microSD card in the process.

The phone completely hard resets and loses all data/settings. It won't recognize the card until I connect it to my PC and format it.

Anyone have any experience with this? I didn't opt for the additional insurance monthly, but it seems that the phone is under a warranty for a year (and I'm within that). Think I should try to get Verizon to fix it?

That's what I'm trying to tell you dude. The thing has different "levels" 1,2 and 3... you'll have to look in the help file as to what they all do exactly but basically level 1 is same rom different version, level 2 is same phone different rom and level 3 is different phone all together.

So on level 1 you can run that and you have the new rom and all the old everything else.

I'm surprised more programs can't do it since it's pretty obvious what files are in the rom and which aren't.
This post has been thanked 1 times.

First thing you need to try is to flash back to a stock rom and radio, then see if you have the same problems. Any problems related to custom roms will be laughed at by verizon. They won't care and won't do a damn thing about it. Might even void your warranty or even your insurance (who knows).

Start with the stock rom and see what happens. If it does happen with that then relock your phone and turn it in for replacement.
