Re: [ 11-10 ][ v4.2 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual VGA Kitchen & ROMs

I'm having a strange problem...

Normally I cook on my workstation, which runs Win7 64bit, but I'm trying to cook using a copy of the kitchen on my wife's laptop running Win7 32bit, and I get an unhandled exception error due to a 'specified path, file name, or both' being too long. See attached .jpg for screencap of error message...

It happens in a particular package (manila 2.5 required facebook) which has a very long 'encodedcertificate' entry in a .provxml - or at least that's the only thing I can find that could cause this problem. Other than that, there's not a filename or directory that's actually longer than the 260/248 character limit imposed by silly ol' Win 7 32bit.

I've searched all over the place, here & xda, and I can't find mention of similar problems, wondering if anyone has a solution for this?

Don't look for a single folder or file that is longer than 260/248. It is looking at the entire path. Try this...

Move your kitchen to a floder path like, "E:\PPC\Calk VGA4.2". The EXT/OEM/ROM/SYS/etc folders will be in that path. That's the folder structure I use w/ windows 7 32 bit and have no problems.

Re: [ 11-10 ][ v4.2 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual VGA Kitchen & ROMs

Whenever I build a ROM with Manila 1.2 or 1.3, It builds fine except that the tf3d music player never works and says something about "Audiomanager_eng.exe". I found the audiomanager oem, put it in the kitchen, selected it, and when i loaded up the ROM on my phone, I still got the same error even though the file Audiomanager_ene.exe was located in the /Windows folder of file explorer.

Ive also looked for the audiomanager cab but cant seem to find the right cab that works. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

which version of audiomanager are you using? you may need an older version to get things to work. also what sys / xip are you cooking with? that may be part of your issue also.

it takes a bit of testing to get everything to play nice

Pre-Load Manila Apps (or a name like that) is the package you probably want to include.

Also this is a really cool Music tab edit thats kinda like like Apple's Coverflow.

Re: [ 11-10 ][ v4.2 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual VGA Kitchen & ROMs

Has anyone tried to do any programming via EPST(##778#)? I' using the Generic Carrier in the kitchen.
I can enter EPST just fine using my MSL but I cannot update any items, and when i try to, the phone just crashes.
-of particular interest is the error on the "Modem Settings" page:
Read Item "Preferred Serving System" failed.

Any Ideas?
Did I miss-match Dialer & Manila Engine when I imported the Tachi Dialer?
I may just try and edit down the Sprint Carrier without all the extras.

Calkulin's Manila 2.5 TP Kitchen by TMartin

Alright Guys, Here ya go. This is Calkulin's Newest Touch Pro Kitchen with all older Manila's removed but has the newest Sense 2.5.1921 with a few extra options. The needed packages for Sense 2.5 to work have been converted to OEMs so they build themselves in. There is also an option to disable the new Messaging Client which looks like it works but I haven't actually sent or received anything with it and also if you disable it, build in Arcsoft and don't include the Messaging Client EXT. One last thing,I strongly recommend building in Touch X Leo Manila Turbo because it helps lol.

Here's the link
