It most definitely works, I'm running a 23047 ROM from your kitchen with the native kernel.

btw, thanks again for all your hard work.

You sure? Juicy's latest release (23037) has the drop down notifications working fine... over Manila.

How did you put the native kernel into the kitchen?

Thanks for the tip about position-fix.exe. I'm now able to get the drop down if I first bring down the task manager. 1 press on the clock brings down the task manager, then pressing + holding the clock for about a second brings down the drop down notifications!

Not 100% ideal, but I can live with that

I concur, I was using Juicy's latest ROM and it worked fine with Manila.

Re: [ 9-12 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

One thing that i have noticed in the newest release is that the menu buttons are not working in the 6.5.1 rom. I am not sure about other roms but I have tried 3 different roms using different builds and the menu button shows to be active (it changes colors when pressed) but nothing happens. Anyone else having this issue?

Re: [ 9-12 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

Hey Calkulin, first off, excellent kitchen and wonderful selection of oem's. No one does it better than you. I love the way you give us the ability to customize our phones just the way we want it. If you don't mind, I've come up with a "to do" list or a "fix" list for your next release.

1) Long press end key doesnt show up when selected. I had to manually edit the initflashes.txt to get it to show up (app.dat for the visual kitchen).

2) When you first cook a rom and the phone boots up for the first time, when you scroll to the contacts tab, the "my contact card" pops up. You have a choice to get your photo from either facebook or the camera. Neither option works for some reason. When I tried it in Psyki's rom, it worked fine.

3) Youtube didn't seem to workfor me. However, I thinksomeone posted version 2.5 for rhodium but I have not tried that one.

4) The my location for the weather tab doesn't work for some reason.

Thats all I can think of for now. It woul be greatly appreciated if all the other ppcgeeks members can add to this list and keep it nice and organized so Calk would know what to tackle in his next release.

Once again Calk, thanks so much for sharing this great kitchen. I know it's very time consuming. Peace!

1. my long press end key is in start/settings/personal/buttons

2. it allows me to click either one, clicking the facebook option sends me to the facebook login.

3. my youtube works just fine.

4. does it just sit at updating??? mine did the same thing the first time.
then i cooked a rom with the 3 oems from the package from xda and
renamed them "Manila Options - Rhodium 2.1 - GoogleLocationService_1_0_1_12R1" for example. and putting it in
ext/shared/packages and also adding the name to the packages text file.
then editing the registry like so http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=3773 or just adding the cab i made to your uc

hope this helps. other than those 3 oems i have changed nothing in the kitchen

How do you find the accuracy of the GPS location here in Michigan. I'm close to the Ann Arbor area and it says My Location is Algonac (which I had no clue where that even was...damn near Canada and not too close to where I'm at ).

seems real good to me. im in waterford and i had it on the weather tab and driving to great lakes mall, it went from waterford, to village of clarkston, to auburn hills. i had to update it when i was there because its only a 15 minute drive but i wanted to see what would come up
