Re: [ 9-12 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

Calkulin, thanks for the kitchen! I'm a first time user and I was really surprised at how easy it was to cook a viable ROM with it.

I'm just having one problem with build 23047: When clicking on the icons in the TitleBar, nothing happens. I was expecting to see the drop down magnified icons as shown here: http://media.photobucket.com/image/2...enshot_1-1.png

I tried clicking, double clicking and dragging down, nothing happened.

Any clues as to what I could do to get that to work?

Thanks!

Thanks Cal...I'll try that on the next flash.

It's rather simple to get around UAC...Simply right click on the eviruskitchen.exe in windows explorer, go to the compatability tab and check run as administrator!

For anyone still having problems with You Tube for Rhodium, try using the YouTube package that comes with GenY 1.5

Don't know if this is a fluke or what. I have cooked in the enhanced notifications with the 23047 which provides the "standard" notifications when you press the icons up top. Every now and again i would see the drop down icons like you have in your pic, but i wouldn't do anything to bring this about. Last night whilst messing in the files, i came across the position.exe file in windows directory and i had cooked the rom with out any enhanced notifications this time, but i had added the position-fix when i cooked another rom. When i clicked the exe file in windows it stated that the position locater had been disabled. When i went back into windows and clicked on the battery icon, i got the new drop down notifications that i had been after. Also, clicking the clock no longer dropped down the task manager, but if you held it in, your touch flo screen would disappear and when you tapped the screen it would reappear. Strange, i know, you wouldn't think that these have anything to do with one another. So, i reset my device and i was back to the no notifications when i tapped the taskbar. Again, went to the windows subdirectory and ran the position-fix.exe and i had the wonderful dropdown notifications and the ability to hide my screen by pressing the clock for 2 seconds.===go figure....hope this helps caulk.

This pop-up notifications only work when using Titanium. They will pop up here and there in rhodium manilla, but if you run titanium as your plug in, they'll work.

You guys will have test that and let me know as it's only the xip, no OEMdrivers and since I don't own a TP, I can't say if it will work or not

Yes you are right, on 23028+, the drop down notifications line shows behind manila, so the only way to get to show is to have another window on top of manila or to turn off manila
