thanks for this. i've been running 21109 from a different chef and i don't care for it much. maybe you can do something with it :)

i thought this was a fake anyway... is there some reason why everyone likes it? I am going to flash back to your clean rom with sprint manila as this is the fastest, most stable rom I have run yet.

I'm sure I will at least try whatever you put out though.

Been anxiously awaiting the new release so I can flash my first custom ROM, so this is great news.

If you'll indulge me a bit, I keep seeing these numbers thrown about, but am not sure what exactly they refer to. I mean, obviously 21109 is a newer version than 20954, but what makes it necessarily better and what exactly do they contain? Are these being extracted from newer versions of existing devices?

The higher the build, the newer the Microsoft software. They're mostly extracted from GSM devices and ported over so we can use them. Normally, a newer build brings bug fixes and stability and whatnot. Some people jsut like having the latest thing. I fall mostly into the latter.

@ eRice,

Just curious if you have newer GPS drivers in your kitchen then what came stock? Not sure where Calcu got his but in his earlier kitchen, they didn't work well with the TP so I swapped the ones from your last kitchen into his to make it work. I was just wondering if you are using the same drivers from your last kitchen.

Oh and the issue was that none of the GPS apps could use the windows default or GPS intermediate setting. They HAD to be manually selected to com 4 in order to work. That was ok for me except that Sprint Nav doesn't have an option to manually select the GPS driver or com port. Calcu's newest kitchen ( the one I am currently testing for him) is working now and I think he also grabbed your GPS drivers from your last kitchen.

I'm excited to see a new version of eRice. Great job with it, it's my favorite one!

I've got a question though, what video drivers are you using? I've heard the Omnia driver was working better for just about everything (TF3D, Opera, etc).

Looking forward to your new release. Your previous kitchen is by far the simplest & most predictable to use.

Do you ever plan to modulate resource files (exe's, dll's, etc) like some of the other kitcheners/rom chefs? I have found that while the modules load quicker, modifying resource files in module form are a bit more complicated and results in imagebin errors while cooking...

Or maybe I am just not that good at rom editing & cooking. I have searched for a reverse method of returning modules back to original resource form but to no avail...

I dunno if its just me but once i try to flash the rom, it says it can not connect to my touch pro. However, the security unlocked screen pops up on my touch pro.

I did not have this problem with the previous build i used. Is there something wrong with this build or is it just me? (I switched computers)

Any help would be appreciated.

have you tried putting the phone into bootloader before flashing?

I have tried that but it would not reconnect to activesync. The problem i seem to have is that right when its about to flash to my touch pro, it disconnects from activesync but will not reconnect to it. Then giving my phone a error 260 no connection with activesync.

Btw thanks ahead time for helping me out.

when you put the phone in bootloader mode before, it won't reconnect to activesync. you have the phone unlocked, correct? I just extracted a fresh copy of the kitchen i uploaded and I'm not having that issue.

yes the phone is unlocked for sure

it seems that some other people have this problem too and can be solved by unchecking "advanced network functionality". but when i do this activesync will not detect my touch pro at all
