If you didn't already do it... Here are the the images for the Touch PRO RRU. I see that in your last kitchen you used the GSM version. The images that I uploaded are for the cdma version.

Also could you please add CusTSK to your kitchen so that we can set up custom themes?

Cant wait to try the new kitchen! Any chance we will see the multiselect in messaging and elsewhere fixed in this release or a near future one?

Also, have you noticed that the X button/task manager program list is empty eventhough there are programs in the background running? I have to click on the setting or memory buttons on the dropdown, then close that window. When I click the X button/task manager again, the programs all show. I made sure the apps I was running were not in the exception list as well.

the new kitchen rocks.. i just have one issue. whenever i try to add new oems, BuildOS breaks. as a temporary work around i have added the .cab files in the appropriate OEM carrier folder and edited the config_operator file to allow installation during the customization phase after flashing.

am i missing something when it comes to making the oems? i am using the cab2 OEM app included in the tools folder and seems to be sucessful in creating the OEM files for each .cab, but when i start BuildOS i get an error and have to restart the app. removing the new OEMs fixes the issue and BuildOS works again.

any help would be greatly appreciated

I was going to include the new RUU image as I downloaded it and everything and then I had a brain fart.. so they're not included. but I'll keep them for future versions

as creedin said, make sure you have correct *.dsm files in each OEM. I've added numerous OEMs as part of my own build and they worked fine

erice... im using yout newest kitchen and tring to also use tsowen's tackbar 1.3 and the signal icon is messing up and not showing full bars on my tp.... any ideal on how to fix this?

I have no idea what that program is. If it's messing up the signal icon then you'll need to take a look at the OEM files, if it replaces something or what.

im not too sure how to do that... i know it only deals with a few of the dlls like outres and things that deals with the icons...i can post up the cab if that would help out

sounds like it's modifying the icons on the taskbar. you can upload it for someone else ot take a look at but i'm not gonna work on it, since I'm not too familiar with modifying icons

if you can extract the cabs, just take the .dll and find where they are in the kitchen and straight up over write them, that should work

Okay, definatelt an issue for me... is anyone else gettin a white screen w/ non functional soft keys when yoy click on a contact to edit it? i cant delete a contact either. PIM backup cant delete them either. I added some apps to the post flash cistomization, could tbhis be the problem? Anyone ever hear of this?

having the same issue too and even when i delete the partnership with my PC it leaves the contacts place and then duplicates them when i reestablish the partnership. i am gonna try a ROM without outlook enchancements enabled and will post results.

Update:

even with outlook enhancments disabled the issue with contacts remains. cannot delete and WMDC shows an error in syncing...

The following contacts failed to synchronize from the desktop:
1. Filed as: Mike & Ann
2. Filed as: Applebee's
3. etc

even though i receive that message, my contacts are on the phone

Okay, found a workaround...

Take kitchen version 1.02.09c and copy over the OEM folder to 09b (backup the 09b OEM folder if you want to first) and build the ROM using the 09b kitchen. This gives you the fixed PRL, volume control, and the ability to install your cabs during customization. The contacts, prl, and volume control are all okay plus you get the new packages from 09c.

hmmm, i can't believe i didn't catch that before. I'll test out the switching of the OEM folders and rebuild. if everything is dandy, i'll reupload a new kitchen so others won't have to switch the folders

Before you upload, would it be possible to include the Touch Pro RUU and the PagePool changer? Maybe you can give the user an option (in the DOS prompt) to change the pagepool after building the nbh and before the RUU opens up. If the user says "yes", open the PP Changer, detect the close, and open the RUU. This way we dont have to cancel the RUU, open a separate PagePoolChanger, then go open the RUU again.

Just a thought...

Yep I am having the same contacts issue. Worked on it for hours and started out with 212 contactd and have run up 5 sets of duplicates and no method or app can delete any of them..... Otherwise everything else seemed awesome. all my little issues from the previous kitchen builds seemed solved.

Well, if you want to do a super quick temp fix until you have time to re-flash... you can rename the pim.vol file at the root storage location (use Total Commander) then soft reset. Once booted up, delete the old pim.vol and import your contacts. I know you wont be able to edit or delete them after the soft reset, but at least you will have only one set of contacts in case you need to make a phone call or send a text message.

Just before I saw the post above about the issue i just cleared my storage to reinstall everything thinking it was an issue with one of my programs. Now that I see the temp workaround I may try that if erice doesnt get the fix posted quickly. I wonder if overwriting with the Vb oem will reintroduce some of the small nagging issues i was having or that between b & c the oem was not changed....

Well, I haven't made my own kitchen before, but I do know that everything in the OEM folder will be up to date from 9c. If you problems originated from something in the SYS folder, they will still be there. I am sure eRice would be able to answer your question if you tell him what kind of problems you were having.

when I cooked a rom with vb when customizations were not working I noticed that the phone and data worked great for 2 days even though I could not complete a successful programming and update with *228 on alltel. It was also the first time I had instant rings with the manila phonecanvas I could use s2u2 with full screen ID and the rings would be instant. When I cooked and flashed with Vc and customizations ran then rings were delayed again like they are on the stock rom. Turning off ring delay in diamond tweaks made no difference. 3-4 rings before the actual audible ring occurred. As on stock rom if I go back to the stock wm dialer then rings are back to almost instant.

What do the tweak cabs in the customizer change? I am going to cook again without customizations and see what happens and run DCD carrier cab for alltel settings after testing. Anyone have any ideas?

Also I noticed the customizations run install arcsoft mms but i did not see it in my programs. is this a plugin for mms on outlook or what?

I found out what was messing up the alignment of the manila tabs. It was the OEM background on all tabs that I used.
