ok I did it .. I unlocked my phone.After I read the directions a hundred times it finaly sunk in and I unlocked....now what?.. I am so confused .

what to do next?
Do I want 6.5 .. Yes
Do I want tne TP2 manila ..yes
I have no clue, what rom to pick?

Any help?

Hey, I just need someone to clarify this bit for me. I bought the HTC Touch Pro for sprint. However I want to use it with Verizon. Do I just flash the Verizon SPL?

I wish it was that easy. First off, you do not have to unlock the phone to use it on verizon. You would have to "reprogram" it, which just means changing several of the EPST settings and the loading a verizon PRL. Second, I hear lately that it's practically impossible to get a non-verizon phone activated with Verizon. Third, if you did want to unlock your sprint touch pro, you would have to use the spl unlocker for sprint phones, which is the .37 version, not the verizon .35 version. Hope that answers your question. There are threads on here discussing this and also plenty other website forums.

i did all of the steps and when i hold down those buttons a weird screen comes up and nothing happens so i just reset my phone and every thing is normal again

If you are refering to step #7, then nothing is suppose to happen. It just brings up the bootloader screen so that you can verify if you successfully unlocked your device. What are you wanting it to do?

does it say cmonex on that "weird" bootloader screen? if so, then your unlocked and ready to flash custom ROMs

I think I bricked my Verizon TouchPro. It says cmonex 037, instead of 035. Now the only rom I can get to even partially load is ssk 1.8. It stops on the "tap here to continue setup" screen and does not recognize and screen taps. However, if I hit the power button to turn screen off and again to turn screen back on it has the s2a bar up and I can connect it to my computer via USB cable. But I don't seem to have any way to run programs on it and since the screen is setup, I can't get past the s2a bar. The only way I can do updates is from my SD card.

Anyone have any ideas for a Cooked Noob?

why don't you run the proper unlocker. Since your phone was unlocked with the wrong one, just download the verizon unlocker and use it.


EDIT: In case you don't know how to get the nbh file for the verizon unlocker, just download the verizon unlocker to your desktop and open it. It will then extract it's self onto your desktop and the rom update utility will run. Now you will see the nbh file on your desktop since it's extracted. Just grab it and rename it to RAPHIMG.nbh and put it on your mem card. Then you can cancel the rom update utlility since you go the nbh file.
