Just wanted to know if anyone had a quick word on how the phone should be brought back.

Thanks in advance,

putting back to stock is the main thing.......re-locking is secondary and not as important....I have taken them back un-locked.....

security un-locked means nothing.....the spl is the main thing...

Re: Touch Pro CDMA Hard-SPL brought to you by CDMA Raphael Elite Team

I know this is probably a VERY noob question, but will this unlock a Sprint Touch Pro to work on the Verizon network? If not, is there another way to do so?

I have the Samsung Omnia right now, but I really want the Touch Pro. However, Verizon's version is quite gimped, so I thought about buying the Sprint Touch Pro instead.

Thanks for any help.

Edit: This may be the wrong place to ask this, but do any of you guys have suggestions regarding the HTC TP versus the Samsung Omnia i910? So far I have loved my Omnia, but I would really like to have a physical keyboard. I'm pretty sure I can e-bay my Omnia and then grab a HTC TP, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask for some more opinions first.

Unlocking the phone will only allow you to flash different roms. You have to reprogram the phone and load a different prl for it to work on Verizon. Besides, it's extremely difficult to find a way to activate a sprint phone on the verizon network so I would suggest not bothering. Just my opinion.

As for your other question, the right place for that is here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=60

Thanks for the quick reply. I understand that it's going to be difficult, but you do think it's possible to do? I've done different flashes before, including flashing an Alltel Rom onto a Verizon phone, so I've got a little bit of experience.

You wouldn't happen to have a link for somewhere that talks about doing it would you? I've tried Googling it, but nothing's really coming up.

Here's a thread discussing it http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=61926.

It has nothing to do with flashing a rom. That's simple. You have to reprogram and load a vrz PRL, which is also fairly easy if you know a little bit. The difficult part is finding a way to activate it. The link I gave you should help you out. Also, checkout howardforums website for more info.

Re: Touch Pro CDMA Hard-SPL brought to you by CDMA Raphael Elite Team

I am having some trouble unlocking my verizon TP. I successfully unlocked a previous phone with your instructions without any problems but I recently sent my phone back because of a defective screen issue. Now I have a refurbished TP that will not unlock and I hate the stock ROM!

When i try to run the RUU, I get a 262 connection error on the PC side. The phone goes into bootloader and then freezes on either the loading screen or at 0%. It has never made it past 0%, ive tried several times. I've tried to hard reset and tried a different usb port without success.

Any suggestions?

How do I unlock from my SD card?

As far as not being able to unlock through activesync, have you tried this: Click on start-settings-connections (tab)-USB to PC, then uncheck the box under Activesync. Also, try rebooting the computer if you haven't already. Also, you can try a different usb cable.

To unlock from microSD card follow the instructions here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=61333

Thank you for the quick response. I did uncheck the box and have tried different usb cables.

The link you posted for using the SD card is for sprint and i have verizon. On that page, he says to get an "nbh outta the verizon unlocker." I am not sure how to extract the nbh file from the RUU uploaded on page 1 of this thread. Any ideas? Can I use the NBH on cornelious2's thread or is that for sprint only?

Correct, the one on cornelious2's thread is just for sprint, alltel, telus, bell, USCC. Use the verizon unlocker in this thread. To extract the nbh from the verizon unlocker, download and save and extract to desktop, open the exe file and the ruu will run and you will see the exe file self extract on your desktop and then you'll see the nbh file. Just copy and paste it to a different location and then you can hit cancel on the ruu. Now you have the nbh file. Just rename it and put on FAT32 formated memory card. Then put the vzw SSPL manual on your phone memory and open it with file explorer program on your phone.
