Re: Touch Pro CDMA Hard-SPL brought to you by CDMA Raphael Elite Team

Just to iron out a few details that I found when I restored my touch pro to factory settings.
1. Flash the HSPL first and make sure you have the correct version for your provider. You need a bootloader for the RUU. Mighty made it too easy the first time by packaging his ROM nicely with one included. Thanks MM!
2. This really isn't too big of a deal because I just took out Mighty Rom NMH and replaced it with my original version and used his bootloader. Worked like a charm. After I was done I replaced it with MM NMH file so I could reuse that if needed.
3. If it doesn't work the first time, don't give up. This is a finicky process.
4. Use the relocker if you have to send it back to the Provider. Like I do in this instance. Everything I needed was on this site.
5. 6.5 looks a lot like the OS in my zune. Not a touch screen of course.

Thank you all for a pleasant experience. I will be redoing Mighty as soon as I get my new phone.

hey there and welcome to ppcgeeks. i know you're trying to be helpful, but let me clear things up for you.
whenever you have to return the phone to factory default you have to flash the shipped rom (in your case, the alltel one here), then relock it using the relocker in the first post of this thread. that's it

yea...that's normal. it will always says Security Unlocked at the top of the screen.
you have to look under that where it says the spl version.
0.37.0000 = locked
0.37.cmonex = unlocked

Re: Touch Pro CDMA Hard-SPL brought to you by CDMA Raphael Elite Team

If turning in a defective TP and the replacement's already ordered for pickup will Sprint really care if the phone comes in with a different radio or an unlocked status (I mean it's going to be out of my hands anyway soon)? It might be more challenging than usual to do this since my phone's graphics are extremely glitchy (the issue) so I'd rather save the hassle if I can.

Re: Touch Pro CDMA Hard-SPL brought to you by CDMA Raphael Elite Team

I've got a little problem that I can't figure out. I've searched the thread and haven't found anything, so if my question's been already answered, I'm sorry!

Well, I was planning on sending my phone in to sprint to have some warranty work done, so I flashed the carrier rom and relocked the phone. Later, I decided it wasn't necessary to send my phone in, so I tried to unlock it again (and here's where things got screwy).

First and foremost, is it possible to unlock a phone after it's been relocked at all? If not, then I might as well send my phone in.

Also, I've done the steps where you disable the advanced connection active-sync thing in the settings. I've removed my memory card. Nothing has helped: I keep getting Error 262. The screen says it's locked (0.37.0000 or something like that) and I'm running vista, just fyi.

If anyone can help me, I'd be GREATLY appreciative.
