this thread is to get your phone unlocked so you can flash to a custom rom... if you are updating your rom from the device maker or carrier you dont need to unlock...

ok well i have flashed my sprint tp1 to cricket already and have the stock rom with everything working when it wants to lol. Im havinf=g trouble with my wap but i would like to get a new rom but when i try it doesnt work is it because i have to have a sd card?

I just checked my phone and it says "security unlocked" on top, and SPL 0.40.0000

Is the .37 an older version, or is the .40 a stock SPL? (I bought this over ebay and the PO said that it was unlocked)

0.37.0000 is an older stock spl. 0.40.0000 is a newer stock spl. If either of those numbers are displayed on your phone, it means you're locked. Just run the 37 unlocker and it will unlock your phone so that you can flash custom roms. The touch pro always says Security Unlocked on the top. That has nothing to do with the purpose of this thread.

FYI
I've unlocked & relocked a few times... just got this one yesterday, ver .4, not working either way, sync or voldown+power & reset. will keep trying.

How do i get my TP back to the bootloader?
I flashed to EnergyROM_21884_HERMAN_09.Dec.2009_Standard and now my TP wont go past the verizon bootup screen.
