Everytime i try to run the unlocker, it gets to the installation phase then my phone shows that it is loading something, then the phone just freezes. It all also freezes if i try to manually put it in SSPL. Any ideas on a fix this is really $#%$# annoying

you just posted this same thing in the touch pro 2 forum. are you having the same problem on 2 different model phones? i sent you a PM also

you try putting in the unlocker thr activesync right? you got activesync correctly configured? took me a while to get activesync working on my TP as the way to get it working correctly at least for these upgrades is never really discussed much

you need to click on activesync icon under program menu and select allows all connections thr usb

also under usb to pc connections under setting you need to disable advanced network setting (even if your computer has no apparent problem in detecting the phone)

after this, activesync should still detect your phone when you connect with usb, but hopefully would work correctly when you try to load the unlocker thr activesync

ok im new to wm. i got the us cellular htc touch pro cdma w/ wm6.1. i been reading up on this site to learn how to install wm6.5 on my tp.

1. do i need to unlock my cell first ?
if so could some1 lead me to the correct unlocker.

2. Rom's .... is there 1 for my carrier US CELLULAR ?
could some1 lead me to it as im getting confused with all tha
diff. flavors as to tha 1 i need.

i have read tha tutorials above but tha more i read tha more i get confussed.

1. yes. use the 37 unlocker in the first post of this thread.
2. all the custom roms are carrier generic, unless it specifically says otherwise. There's only a couple that are carrier specific, and even if you flash a custom rom that says SPRINT ONLY(for example), there will be NO harm to your phone. roms are here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=68
